have a wonderful life! :wink2:

Let me clarify....I hope there is NO correlation for those of us that received the email about Yuma and have already interviewed for the program! Thanks for your comment, H!

BeeBee,

Bubbe, take it easy. There is NO correlation between the Yuma email and the ABSN interview process. The Yuma email originates from requesting general information on the ABSN program, and I am sure it was sent out to applicants for the 2009 program, as well as those other interested parties who may have just attended an infomation session or who requested an info. packet by mail.

It's good to hear that letters are slowly trickling in. I am sure we will all have ours by Monday at the latest.

To those who have been accepted: Congrats and get your health records and fingerprint clearance stuff ready to go.

To those who were not accepted: Setbacks suck, but they are not the end of the world. I have always found that determined objectivity always leads to long term success. If you really want it, do what needs to be done to become an RN, either at UofA or elsewhere. You'll get in.

To those who got a bumber sticker: You might as well peel and paster while you're waiting. Sunday 'gonna go by real slow....

I applied this year.

Chinook,

That last reply was for you! I did apply this year... and really, really wanted to get to U of A. I am still waiting for U of Miami.

Thanks for that response, Shen Nok!

:yeah:I got my letter today! I'm in! I can't wait to find out who will be joining me! The letter was a normal business size with paperwork inside! I will be at UMC--my 1st choice! I am so glad the wait is over....ahhh...sigh of relief...My fingers are crossed for all of you!

CONGRATS!!!!

AJ, congratulations!

Beebee and Skywalker:

I'm so sorry. I know how I will feel if I get a rejection letter and I'm sorry you have to go through that. Keep your head up high and keep trying!

To the rest of you who have no letter in hand yet:

... to be continued...

Come Monday, though, you'll find me camping out by the mailbox. I wonder if they have wi-fi...

congrats aj!

3:30am in Chicago...time to sleep :zzzzz

Thank you all for your congrats!

Does anyone know anything about the partnership progam in Yuma?

I'm trying to find out more info about the Yuma program also! The info I've received so far is very limited; I don't even know if it starts in 2009 or later. I e-mailed the contact person to see if I could get more info without actually traveling to Yuma for the info session, but haven't heard back yet.

However, no one from the College of Nursing seems to want to talk to me until after the current application process is over. I sent out an e-mail with questions in January and received a reply saying that they would be happy to answer my questions at the end of March when they are done choosing applicants! :smackingf

I think that it's fair to assume that the CON is somewhat understaffed/overworked due to recent budget cuts. As well, they are focused on determining the new entering classes for both the ABSN program (once a year) and the traditional program (twice a year). So they are rather busy these days, and will remain so for the next few weeks.

I could be wrong, but I believe that the Yuma ABSN program follows the same timeframe as the Tucson ABSN. So the first Yuma class would be for NEXT summer, in 2010.

How they work out the class/clinical division will be interesting, but I imagine that students will have 2-3 continuous days of lecture, and then go to Yuma for 2-3 days of clinicals. And I bet that they strongly prefer Yuma residents with family there to ease the housing requirements....but again...I could be completely wrong....

Hit the CON up for more details come April. Now just isn't the right time. The CON has is buried deep in other affairs.

Just be patient....
