What shift does your SO/whoever watches your baby work? If your person works day shift, I would work night shift so you don't have to pay for childcare. You can save a lot of money that way.
Unless you don't like to sleep, that doesn't usually work. Someone has to be awake during the day with the baby. I did that for awhile but only worked one or two days a week and never back to back. It still sucked.

I'd like to hear what everyone's opinion is regarding my two job offers. first is ICU nursing at Kindred hospital(LTACH) which is 15 mins away from my house, day shift.
Second one is ICU at a magnet hospital in a short term acute with amazing reputation but drive is 1 hr away and it's a night shift.
I do have an infant at home, pay rate is pretty much the same. Benefits are comparable so it doesn't play a huge factor. What do you nursing fellows think? Which hospital would you work for???
