  1. That's a good point, but thankfully my MIL watches her for us. My husband has 9-5 office hrs.
  2. I'd like to hear what everyone's opinion is regarding my two job offers. first is ICU nursing at Kindred hospital(LTACH) which is 15 mins away from my house, day shift. Second one is ICU at a magnet hospital in a short term acute with amazing reputation but drive is 1 hr away and it's a night shift. I do have an infant at home, pay rate is pretty much the same. Benefits are comparable so it doesn't play a huge factor. What do you nursing fellows think? Which hospital would you work for???
  3. I am a wound care nurse who is making a transition to burn/wound care icu. Now, I do have some medsurge experience but never worked in icu. How long do you think is enough training or orientation for a nurse like me who is making a big transition. I have a meeting with director of icu next week and iv just kind of wanted to have idea before we speak. Any input is appreciated.
  4. Hello everyone, I am a future RN worried about finding a job after I graduate. Is it easier if you have a bachelor's degree, instead of associates? Is it easier to get hired if you have some experience in caregiving? If it is, how many years minimum? Please leave some advice. I am currently working as a caregiver, but if this does not help me in my future career, I don't think I am going to keep my job since my time can be used to focus on my school more. Thank you.
