I work at the one of the hospitals that offer it and it was a painless process to get. At the end of this year they will pay $4000 off my loan, and the end of the year after another $4000 and by then it will be paid off. So what would take 10 years of payments for me is taking two years.
I consolidated my nursing loans after I graduated. If your hosp. doesn't qualify for the forgiveness, consolidation can help with the payments of your nursing student loans. I'll try to link some sites I used, but Im pretty new to this whole "forum" thing, ha! I used http://finaid.org/ and http://studentloansforcollege.org/ to find the consolidation loans. Good luck!
Has anyone look at this link?

They pay 60% of your loans. 30% each year for two years and 25% for optional 3rd year.
But there is a contract.

I'm not sure if this was posted before but I found this info and wanted to share the link. It's for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program in FL. Could be helpful....
