hmm i got my conditional acceptance last week- however I have been placed on "pending status" due to failing a CLEP exam..

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

but there still is hope!!!

I sent out 3 apps back in Sept./Oct. for the Spring 08 starts. I heard from Cabrillo College (sadly, I am #561 on their wait list).
I haven't heard yet from Sierra or Shasta Colleges. Has anyone heard from these two yet? Oddly, I had a dream last night that I got a "big" envelope/package in the mail from a nursing school, so maybe that's a good sign!
What are you all doing to bide your time? I am finishing up Intermediate Algebra (some CA colleges are going to start requiring this class in '09) and working part time in the local ED. I already have my AA degree, so I am taking next semester off; who knows what I'll do!

Wow. When I applied a little over 2 years ago I was 391. I just got a new letter and I am number 95! It seems that I move about 80-100 spots every semester. The way things are going at this rate I am hoping to start in Spring '09. Just keep yourself on the Cabrillo waitlist. It's a good program and it's great that they still have a waitlist. So many schools don't have one anymore. It's a guaranteed in.

I applied in February for nursing school at Ivy Tech. I am told that they will not send out letters until the end of May. I am extremely nervous. I applied to both the LPN program and the RN program. I am hoping that I get into the RN program. So now its just a waiting game.

I applied to two schools back in January and was told I would hear by March. March has come and gone, called the schools and was told now that notification letters/email will be going out April or May. The wait is driving me nuts!!! :banghead:

I got my acceptance letter today! It didn't happen like I imagined at all! I worked a 12 hour overnight shift last night and he woke me up after about 4 hours sleep to open it. AWW he was so excited. Once I wake up maybe I can be too!

congrats everyone.....im still "sweating bullets"....i turned my application in like the first week it was available so i have been waiting for almost 4 months now!!! my cousin was evil on april fools she texted me and told me that some of her friends had got theirs the day before and i must of not gotten in since i didnt get mine yet....but she was just trickin me...i was so mad because she knows that i have been desperately waitn

Haha I TOTALLY agree with that. I would have cried if someone had done that "prank" on me back when I was still waiting....lol.

yeah it was pretty bad and to make it even worse i was in class when she text me so i start asking everybody if they had gotten anything and they start calling ppl and telling them to go check their mail and then the next day i had to go tell everybody that it was just a joke...sorry
