For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

Published

I just turned in three of my four applications :uhoh3:, and I'm already sweating bullets! Just thought I would start a support thread for those of us impatiently awaiting results for the Spring of 2008.

Good luck to everyone!!!!

:balloons:

Yeah. I guess we have to encourage each other and be positive.............Ugh. LOL

I'm still waiting to hear. There where two other schools that I was waiting to hear from besides my first choice. Well, I got rejection letters from both this weekend. Not too tore up because I really want to get into first choice. Must admit, I'm a bit nervous now. I have 4.0 GPA, reffs, and all the trimmings. But I guess I just didn't make the cut. I won't take it personally because I know it is not personal. I will get in somewhere. Still waiting to hear from first choice though. I'll see what happens. Thank God I have place like this to vent. I'm sure my family and friends are sick of me talking about it. LOL :sofahider

Good luck on getting in to that first choice! I hope it works out for ya! :) I totally know what you mean about family and friends getting sick of hearing about nursing school/getting into nursing school! When I was still waiting to hear...I never stopped talking about it! In fact, I found it hard to focus on anything else...including the classes I'm in now. Thank goodness I found out a month ago and it was good news...I now can focus on school and OTHER things in life...that is, until nursing school starts up in less than a month! Ahhh...time flies by...anyways...enough ranting and raving! Good luck to you and everyone else out there who has to wait! :)

thank you! i had some doubts that i would get in since it's the toughest school in my area to get into. and believe me i don't have a perfect 4.0 so there is hope for those of us that get a's and b's!!

I applied to two schools and received my first rejection today, it may be another month before I hear from the other school. I also have a 4.0, and got an 85% on my TEAS. I don't know what else the schools are looking for, but I'm sure its hard for the schools to pick and choose. As you say, I can't take it personally (although I have to admit, I was pretty disappointed when I got my rejection:cry:). Its good to know that are many of us in the same boat and we need to keep chugging along:nuke:

Wow, I knew I wasn't the only one. You wouldn't believe how many emails I've gotten from folks that are in the same boat. It's crazy? I thought there was a shortage? Anyway, I'll keep on chugging..LOL:sasq:

Well, I just turned in my application today. I'm only applying to one school, because I can't bear the thought of spending another 4 semesters in school for an associates degree when I could have a bachelors in 5 semesters. That and the only 2 year program does not have a good track record, they have over a 50% fail rate in their program.

Now that I've rambled on, it will be at least mid-June before I get an answer. So here's to at least 2 months of stressing over wether I'll get in or not. I hope I do. I've got a 3.8 GPA with 3 classes left to finish and an 81.8 on my TEAS.

Sweating Bullets isn't enough to describe how I'm feeling... lol

I gave in to the pressure and gave a call to my interviewer to find out the status of my app. She told me that she can only tell me I was one of those who was reviewed and that I should be recieving a letter within the next few weeks :banghead:.... I was tryin to read her voice, and I couldn't lol But then she asked me if I had anymore questions about the school... would she ask someone who didnt get in that? Hmmmm.... I dunno I feel like I'm going nutty...

Good Luck to us all

Hmmmmm.......I can't really see them asking you if you have any more questions about the school unless you're sure to be a student there. I'm thinking you probably got in.

I called the other school I am waiting to hear from to check the status as well, and had a similar response - I was told that my application looked "very favorable". I guess thats a good thing, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Good luck, and I hope that you and everyone else waiting to hear gets positive responses soon!:wink2:
