I just turned in three of my four applications , and I'm already sweating bullets! Just thought I would start a support thread for those of us impatiently awaiting results for the Spring of 2008.
Good luck to everyone!!!!
:balloons:
Congrats to all that have gotten accepted!
I am getting dizzy everytime I open my mailbox because a bunch of people I know from my classes that also applied to the fall Np got rejection letters this week. Nobody I know has gotten an acceptance letter yet. So I am assuming they haven't gone out yet. I am hoping that no news is good news!
I just want my Congrats you have been accepted letter (hopefully!! knock on wood!!!) so I can go to my mailbox without feeling faint..lol!

We are totally in the same boat! I have applied to ARC 4 times now and SCC 3 times. I am on Yuba's wait list, there are 257 people ahead of me right now so it is a 2 1/2 yr wait.I totally know how you feel, the lotto sucks for those who are not naturally lucky.
Don't forget about Sierra, their applications are now available too!
I know Sierra has applications available now but I don't know if I want to apply because it SUCH a chore to gather all the info again and again and again. Why do they make it so hard on the students by making them re-submit all the transcripts, course descriptions, test scores, copy of CPR card, SASE, and application every time? That is crazy. I guess I should apply again. Who knows, I might actually get in this time. Good luck to you and Vixnnet as well!

Yeah seriously! I know it is such a chore! I think they do it to discourage all the applicants that cant get all the info so they can reduce the applicant pool! LOL but I really think it comes down to manpower. I talked to the woman who is the one that runs the show over there last semester and asked her the same thing and she told me it was because they do not have the resources to a huge database and time to scan in all the info for 600 applicants. It does make sense, however it would be more practical in the long run for her to get get it done the 1st semester and the following would be an easier load.
She even told me that they don't even check the applications to make sure they qualify before putting them into the lottery! ARC and SCC will go through all the applications and make sure everyone is qualified before they are added to the pool.
Sierra is such a small school with little state funding that it shows their dysfunction when they have large tasks to handle.
I will be going over there on Tuesday to pick up mine. I made copies of my test scores and catalog stuff so all I have to do is make one more and I just store them just in case. I have gotten so use to it by now!
You NEED to apply! You cant be accepted if you don't apply! Thats my philosophy anyways. Who knows if it will be the one! I am not counting on it but it would be nice.
I am praying for you this semester!!
congrats to those that got in!!!! well, just turned in my application to chico state... had to get my teas sent to them through ati...hopefully my teas gets to them by tomorrow...i've been off the deadline a couple of times the past semesters... (this is what happens to procrastinators, like myself 8p) i got my csu admission application and my nursing application in on time this time, as well as my other documentations for the optional criterias... but... i'm just worried about my teas score.. if it's going to be on time or not.. i'm gonna call ati tomorrow to check!..... i'm praying it gets sent by tomorrow... or else... who knows what's gonna happen! well, all i can say is... it's going to be a long month and a half waiting!!!! i'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Okay so I decided to take your advice and apply for Sierra's program. I also believe that you can't win the lottery if you don't play...

Well my GPA (total) is 3.601 and so I believe that is 31 pts. And I am pretty modest about my TEAS score, I am thinking low 90's high 80's. I WANT 95% or higher... but we will see. I am confident with the math section, reading section, and pretty confident with the writing section. The science was so off-the-wall and random, in my opinion, I have no clue! I know I got above 70% on it but would like to get a strong score in that section as well. Did you apply for the optional criteria at CSUS? I know I will get ~9pts from that.
The big problem this season is that they are accepting only 40 students for Fall 08 rather than the usual 60 because of the curriculum being revised and compacted down to a two year BSN program. That may increase the cut off point scores needed by students to get in at CSUS.
