For the new crop of CPNE study-ers ....

Just a tip about practicing your grid: get yourself an 8.5x11-sized erasable white board and use it to practice making grids. I wrote the different AOCs on pieces of paper and would draw 3 or 4 of them at random out of a baggie, then make a grid. It was helpful -- I could do my grid in my sleep by the time my CPNE rolled around. Haha ... it was 3 years ago TODAY that I completed my CPNE, how funny.

I am enjoying seeing you all get to this point! This is why I still visit the EPN, too. It's highly addictive to watch people succeed, especially when you understand the stress yourself.

I lived on the EPN when I was studying for the CPNE! Alodocios, please don't get too worked up about the CPNE at this point ... once you are eligible for it, that's the time to give it 110%. If you're distracting yourself with CPNE stuff at this point, you aren't putting 110% into your exams! Just my opinion, of course. ;)

www.excelsior.edu/epn, it's a peer network, they have message boards for all the exams and a great one for the CPNE. :-)

Beachnurse, I tried that link and it didn't work... is it only for enrolled students? Thanks...

Can you make an account and get it?

Hmmm... I tried. Even though I DO have a login for EC, and can access many areas readily... it won't let me in. I'll give them a call tomorrow. Thanks!

I am off to get a dry eraser board tomorrow! Please, keep the ideas coming! Thank you Lunah for sticking around these boards for all of us! It was so nice to have someone here to coach us along this distance learning path! I

Glad to help. :) Just don't ask me to get too specific where the CPNE is concerned, my grasp of the study guide has slipped over the last 3 years. LOL!

Thank you Lunah for all your advice. I was lost quite a few times,so I go on here to find answers. Many of my answers were from your posts!! :)

Hi Lunah, I tried that one too... and it won't let me in. I try logging in with my EC account name and password, and also try entering my email address... they say I don't have an account. Hmmmm.... too late to call today, I'll try tomorrow. Thanks for your help!

p.s. I tried it from the EC site, logged in under my username... it said 'you are not enrolled'. Mystery solved! I have only applied, not enrolled....

Apologies for my ignorance, but what is this CPNE of which you speak? I looked it up and only found information on Excelsior

Speaking of, I came upon your journal and the notes that you and Ivan posted and wanted to say a big THANK YOU! I printed them and put them in my binder. Your notes are flawless and your journal was so nice to read. Did you use risk for injury for all your PCS's? I really like how you broke the careplanning down and I was thinking of doing the same thing to just keep it simple. I am definately happy that you available as such an awesome resource for all of us :-)
