For Ms. Suzanne and anyone who are applying for Illinois..pls help.

Hi! I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines. I really decided to join this website because I have so many questions in mind that is bothering me right at this moment. This is regarding my plans of working in Illinois. I will be taking the CGFNS exam this July. In God's grace to pass, I'm planning to take IELTS exam and apply for an NCLEX examination. I would just like to ask an advice from you if what exam should I take first? Is it the IELTS or apply first to NCLEX? And how many months does this application will be approved by the Illinois BON? Because I've heard from my friends that it will took us a couple of months for our application to be approved by the Illinois BON for us to take the NCLEX exam. Is it true? Thanks ahead for your reply... God bless!!!

Hiii,I have a small doubt.can anyone please clear it?In the application form for application fee for BON vermont it is stated that PAYMENT MUST BE US FUND.Does that mean US dollars? and can it be send by demand draft?if not ,can anyone tell me how it should be then??Thanks in advance.:typing

Yes, it is by demand or bank draft in US funds. Bring a copy of the schedule fee to a bank w/c you have an account with and request a demand or bank draft. There's a small fee and of course you they will convert the equivalent to US dollars if you only have a peso account. It is of ocurse accdg to their exchange rate.

They need the copy of the schedule fee so that they know the complete name of the payee and the proper address per bank requirements in the Philippines.

I understand from the cgfns website that an english exam (TOEFL/IELTS) is not required for the ces service but only for cp and visascreen. But, if you mean sending TOEFL score report directly to CTS in IL as part of the licensure requirements, then you just need to request ETS online to send a TOEFL score report to CTS (fee, i think, is $17 per score report). TOEFL score report is valid for two years only.

btw, for your visascreen later on, you need to also have a score report of the speaking portion of the english exam (if your current TOEFL does not have one). you can choose between TSE and TOEFL iBT (or IELTS if you prefer).

goodluck!

Thank you Kiko!

how can i request for TOEFL certification of passage?? is it the same as requesting for a TOEFL score report and sending it to CTS??

I am also quite confused regarding registration at pearson for the second time.....i took nclex a couple of months ago with NM BON but sadly didnt make it :( and now im switching to Illinois BON so that i wont have to apply for an endorsement and thats where i really wana stay and work....i registered online and signed up for an account at pearson.....i was in the US at the time so the address that i used was the one where i am staying at there..im right now here in the philippines...one more thing...it says on their website that you have to pay around 50 dollars for a change of BON????......im really confused on registering for the second time with a different address and BON....please help!

I understand from the nclex candidate bulletin that the $50 change fee applies only if you change bon (or type of exam) while your pearson registration is still current. It seems that your first (previous) registration (for NM licensure) has been used up and is no longer current.

Also, you are asked to give your current mailing address.

If you wish to receive your ATT thru email, it is advisable to use the same email address that you wrote on your IL application form.

You might want to go over the candidate bulletin or to send an email to pearson to confirm.

goodluck!

Register with pearsonvue once you get OK to sit NCLEX and once you are ready to take it, think usually valid for 12 months, but should say something on their website

The NCLEX is taken once you just endorse to the state you wishto apply to and meet their requirements

your application is valid for 3 years. you should have completed the requirements including the passing of exam within that period.

yes you can register. registration to pearsonvue for exam is valid for 365 days. the BON should have determined that you are eligible to sit for exam within that period.

ATT in Illinois is valid for 90 days. you should have taken the exam within 90 days. or else, you have to register to pearsonvue again.

goodluck.
