Hi! I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines. I really decided to join this website because I have so many questions in mind that is bothering me right at this moment. This is regarding my plans of working in Illinois. I will be taking the CGFNS exam this July. In God's grace to pass, I'm planning to take IELTS exam and apply for an NCLEX examination. I would just like to ask an advice from you if what exam should I take first? Is it the IELTS or apply first to NCLEX? And how many months does this application will be approved by the Illinois BON? Because I've heard from my friends that it will took us a couple of months for our application to be approved by the Illinois BON for us to take the NCLEX exam. Is it true? have you submitted CES and TOEFL reports? how about the fingerprint card?

yep she still needs CES as one of their (IDFPR) requirement. submit the fingerprint card to IDENTIX. read the previous posts for details..

Thanks for your reply.... They confirmed it first before getting a CES.. The PRC told them they dont need the CES anymore since they already have the CGFNS exam. By the way is it okay if they use another vendor for submitting the fingerprint card?

ask IDFPR directly not the PRC... coz your applying a license in IDFPR not in PRC... before, IL requires CGFNS exam but changes was made last 2005. they now need CES instead of CGFNS exam. you can email them your query for your assurance..

name of fingerprint vendors are listed on the application packet... try to look at it.. their contact numbers are also listed.

i took toefl-cbt and passed, i took tse but failed, i took nclex but failed... while waiting for my official result for nclex, i'm planning to take ielts for my visascreen. is it ok for me to take ielts for i know that toefl is needed as a requirement for nclex application? also, how many days should i wait in order for me to sit in again for nclex? thank you!

if you read the previous pages here, it is TOEFL (not IELTS) that IL wants from non-US school graduates.

TOEFL test now is internet based (IBT).

she can still apply in IL coz she mentioned that she passed the toefl cbt..

she wants to take ielts for her visa screen (coz she didnt pass tse).

you can take after 45 days. dont wait for the result anymore coz u already know that u failed... just pass the application again (just indicate that u will retake the exam) with $79 bankdraft (check the fee to their site. i dunno if there are changes on the fee) and then register to pearsonvue again.
