What was the required GPA for your school and what did you actually make?

Specializes in Med/Surg.

Our minimum for both cumulative GPA and the GPA of the prereqs was 3.0, but the dean of the nursing school straight up told me that they really only look into your app if you have higher than a 3.6 in your prereqs (I know, they're picky, haha). I had a 3.96 in my prereqs (dunno how I pulled that one off!) and a 3.51 cumulative GPA. Hope that helps!

Specializes in Emergency.

Hi. Im attending Midwestern State University, and you needed at least a 3.0 and I had a 3.45 to 3.5 I can't quite remember.

Ok our school requires a 2.7 and I have a 3.2, I wonder if that is considered good.

Is this an overall GPA or prereq's GPA?

The required just to be egible was 2.5 but I had a 3.21 for the required courses and 3.33 for the required pre reqs you can take along with nursing classes.

At Rogers State University in Claremore, OK, you are not accepted based on your GPA. They look at 5 courses and accept the top 75 students in those courses. The courses are Cell Biology, Orientation, Anatomy/Physiology, Dosage Calc., and Comp I.

My overall is a 2.8 but my prereq is 3.2

Specializes in Alzheimers and geriatric patients.

3.0 and I had a 4.0 for all classes

Mine requires a 2.7 but I had a 3.6 and was on the wait list. I managed to get a spot though! Phew.
