For Fun - Things You Want to Buy Once You're a Nurse

Published

Ok, I know we should be frugal after we graduate and invest in retirement, pay off debt and student loans, etc. However, for a little fun, what kinds of things do you look forward to buying after you graduate and are working as a nurse?

For me: a Dyson vacuum cleaner ($500) and a set of NARS blushes ($200), the best blush on the planet. I've also been fixated on buying a Mini Cooper:

I suspect I'll buy the Dyson and NARS, but the Mini Cooper may just not be a good financial choice.

So what do you all want to buy?

big fat check to salliemae so im not paying student loans all my life... after that.. a house..

Sorry, but it's 'Camaro' ...

British engineering > GM!!! :D

oops! My bad........... Blame the misspelling on too much Jack Daniels.:smokin:

A dock for my house.

travel around............that's my dream..........

Some decent clothing

Ok...I know you can't buy kids...but I really just want to have babies. I know lots of brave women that have babies during nursing school and I just wanted to wait until after I graduated. I just found out that I'm pregnant with a baby girl. Thank god....she's due the week of graduation. :p Cutting it a little close but I couldn't be happier. Maybe she'll surprise me and come a little early. I would be honored to have my daughter at my graduation. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Congratulations lvsk8betty on the pregnancy! I have a 17 mos and 8 year and I would love another one, but I start the nursing program next month, and can't risk it. I'll be 40 when I graduate, so I cherish my kids knowing that they are all I'll have!

A brand new Camero.............Blood Red!

Me too, the last time I wrote in this thread I wanted a Nissan 370Z...forget it! A fullyloaded Camaro convertible will do.

Hopefully by the time I graduate the Z28 model will be released. That is the only thing that is killing the disappointment that I don't have on yet.

A house...that is ALL mine and I guess my dog's LOL. Then I would love to buy some items that would have no resale value aka Jimmy Choos and Christian Louboutin. But a house is more important I can't be the lady who lived in her shoes.

If you take good care of your Louboutins (get the sole redone, few or no scuffs, etc) you can get almost what you paid for it on ebay and such. Especially if it was a hard to get, popular style. You can recoup most of that cash.

I will be going on my honeymoon couldn't afford one when me and my husband got married don't know where though any suggestions?

I haven't heard anyone ever complain about their trip to Hawaii.:D I would go to Tahiti myself, stay in one of those huts in the water, it looks so serene. But that isn't for everyone. Wherever you pick I'm sure it will be fun!:yeah:

1. Cosmetic dentistry. I couldn't have braces when I was a kid, so I have a few funny lookin' teeth. Now I'm way too old to get it for anything but cosmetic reasons.

2. New running shoes and GPS watch

3. New washer and dryer.

4. A maid (hey I can dream, right??)

PARIS AND LONDON (love London - yay!) ... Two of the most romantic cities in the world. Wouldn't mind seeing Tokyo again, and maybe a stop over in Australia.
