My question to all of you that applied for this year, what is your GPA?I am trying to find out how competitive the program is this year. The waiting game on the acceptance letter is killing me and I have heard we wont find out til end of March.
My GPA for the pre-req courses is a 3.0 . I know that is not the best, but I have a friend that goes there and her GPA was lower than mine, and she was admitted to the nursing program this past fall.
I know they send out letters, which go out at the end of April (I THINK April 20th). And, I'm sure when you log in to "My NIU", you will be able to see if you were admitted or not. You may even be able to see that before you get the actual letter.
I don't know if anyone else is also anxiously awaiting financial aid reward, but I just received a mail last night from NIU. Make sure to check your myNIU if you've been waiting for that also. Hope you guys are having a great week so far. :)
I just contacted NIU and asked them how many transfers applied this year. She told me around 400 and she wasn't able to tell me the number of them that would be admitted because it all depends on the GPA.
I think I am going to withdraw my application, there is no way I'll be admitted. Good luck to you all.

Do they send the acceptance letters through our niu email or mail them. This wait is killing me.
