My question to all of you that applied for this year, what is your GPA?I am trying to find out how competitive the program is this year. The waiting game on the acceptance letter is killing me and I have heard we wont find out til end of March.
My GPA for the pre-req courses is a 3.0 . I know that is not the best, but I have a friend that goes there and her GPA was lower than mine, and she was admitted to the nursing program this past fall.
I know most of you seem to be waiting to attend orientation, but I took a leap and am attending Wednesday the 18th. Hoping I will know by then if I was accepted or not! Are any of you attending then??
I do not have any plans to attend orientation, yet. I have been wanting to attend, but if I am not accepted, I won't be attending NIU. I don't think I have a good shot so $75 would be wasted.
I just wish I knew already so I can take the next step...
Good news everyone! The letters are going out at next week!
This is per an email from Brigit Amburgey, whom I emailed last week. She said the first batch of letters went out today and the rest are going out (late) next week so we should all know something late next week or early the following week!
OMG I am going to be on pins and needles until that letter comes. Then when I get the letter, I am not going to want to open it due to possibly being rejected!! :/
I was thinking the same thing ~ I have been wondering if the rejection letters come in a small, regular sized envelope. And the acceptance letters come in a letter sized envelope with other paperwork. lol too much time to sit and think!!
That is good news! :) At least one way or another, we'll finally know soon enough. Karebear, when you said the first batch went out today... was that referring to a batch of transfer letters or current student letters?
The first batch that went out today, I assume, was the freshman applicants. She didn't specify, so I can't say for sure. I'm pretty sure though that it was freshmen and transfers go out next week. It's getting close!
Same here. I've had several dreams about it over the past few nights. I constantly check this site and myNIU. I just want it to be over!!!!! This is a true test of patience lol
