Is anyone else applying for FNP at Duke, Fall 2019?

Can anyone on here tell me how long the MSN-FNP program is? It is impossible to tell from their curriculum page.

I believed if you start Fall 2019 expected graduation is Spring 2021. That’s what I was told by admission, but all depends on how long it takes you to complete your 728 hours of clinicals. There is also additional clases with additional clinicals hours if you decide to do a concentration.

For the admitted student day, I feel like we really haven’t gotten too much information- just to be at the school of nursing at 8? What should we bring, if anything?

I assume we just park in the lot across from the SON and walk in to the school right? I will most likely just bring a pad in my bag to take notes.

Is there a facebook page for MSN Fall 2019 group?

Hey! I applied to Duke's Fall 2020 MSN. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know someone who has gotten an interview but did not get in? Trying to figure out how many people who get asked to interview end up getting in. Thanks!

I think if you get an interview, and interview well your chances of getting into Duke's program are very good. I graduated in December. I interviewed via skype because I am in the western region and could not get off work. Some people fly out for their interview but I think if you interview well and really give it your best it won't matter if you are there in person or not. I know of one person who interviewed and got wait listed. But this person had a bit of a lower undergrad GPA. They were offered a spot about 2 or 3 months before the semester started. Duke's program is excellent, I can not say enough great things about it. I passed boards no problem and already have a job. I hope this info helps you out. Good luck to you, I hope everything work out for you on your NP journey.

For those that got accepted to the BSN to DNP, can you share with me your GPA please? I am considering in a applying this year, but I am not sure if my GPA is good enough. I have GPA of 3.5.

Hey there! Congrats to those who got in and have successfully started the program! I am wondering if you are able to shed light on the application process at all?

I imagine the program being very competitive-- so I am trying to gauge where I stand as an applicant. Are you able to maybe share your stats (GPA, years/type of experience as RN, etc.)

Thanks in advance!

I will graduate next year with BSN, and think about continue masters. I think I may have the same stats like you. Did you get in?
