FNP Duke, BSN- MSN/DNP Fall 2019

Published

Is anyone else applying for FNP at Duke, Fall 2019?

Even though I have not received anything about an interview, I still applied for the merit scholarship as well.

I applied to their MSN. Wonder when they make decisions?

I was told by my interviewer that they will make decisions on March 6. Then notifications will be send around Mid March.

Do they have a different time for the BSN to DNP program?

does anyone know if they will send out more interview request. I still have not received anything.

I think they sent the interview request last week and for the next two week they will be interviewing all the applicants.

From what I was told by my interviewer no. Right now they are interviewing every applicant. I applied for the BSN-FNP/ DNP.

Okay because the only thing I have received was about the webinar but I guess thats it. I guess that means I should just focus on MUSC then.

It is a very competitive program so I guess I'm not surprised. Maybe something else will work out.

I’m sorry. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Nowhere in the application process and am not going to be any help to you at all... but I am considering Duke as well!

What helped you decide? Are you local to them? I'm SO excited at the possibility of being able to specialize in ONC, but am having a real hard time swallowing the pill of how much it'll cost considering in my region I won't be making severely BIG NP bucks!

I applied to the BSN-DNP FNP program with an oncology focus. I got an email for an interview yesterday. I'm currently scouring the internet for what they might ask. Good luck everyone!

Congrats on your interview! I am currently in Dukes NP oncology program. First, relax! The interview is just an opportunity for you to highlight your work in oncology as well as what you are hoping to do with your NP career. The best advice I can give you is be yourself, and don't be afraid to talk about your experiences with your oncology patients. I was very nervous for my interview, but felt at ease within a few minutes. The very best of luck to you! You will do GREAT!

When will the decision for MSN Fall 2019 be released?

I was told "approximately" a month (this was mid february)

I had an interview with the director and she confirmed around March 18 we should be expecting results. This is for the DNP though.
