Is anyone else applying for FNP at Duke, Fall 2019?

Specializes in Rheumatology NP.

Hmm. I applied to the FNP track, MSN only. I applied a little late in the process, but only after I received an email from them saying it wasn't too late and to please finish my application. I got everything in in December. I got an email inviting me to a webinar in early March regarding the program. But that's it. No email for an interview. I hate not knowing anything!

I got an email about the webinar too but I have not received an email about an interview either. I was logging into the self service center but it says the application is still under faculty review. I applied to the BSN DNP Family Nurse Practitioner program with a cardiology focus. I graduate in May so I am not sure if that is a turn off. I also have a 3.54 Cumulative GPA so that might be a little low as well. I am not sure.

I did not get an email about webinar.

Maybe we will all hear something this week. I wonder did they send out everything at one time because if so, I would just rather know now instead of waiting to hear I did not get accepted.

I just completed my interview for the Fall 2019 BSN-DNP Adult-Gerontology Primary Care track. Has anyone else interviewed yet? Any ideas about when we'll receive admissions decisions?

How long was the interview? Do you mind shed some light? Thanks.

does anyone know if they will send out more interview request. I still have not received anything.

It was about 45-minutes long, I think. Mostly situational/behavioral questions, with some time for additional questions at the end. I feel like it was mostly in line with what I’d read regarding the interviews for last year’s cohorts.

I believe that they conduct multiple rounds of interviews (at least that’s what I gathered in reading about previous cohorts).

I called admissions to see about when we might hear back about decisions being released, and the secretary mentioned the end of March...

Thanks much.

Where do you find "last year’s cohorts" interview questions?

Did any of you apply for Merit Scholarship?

I am reading these lines from the website: The School will award two scholarships for new Master's students (one to a new fall 2019 student and one to a new spring 2020 student).

I did just finish my interview this morning. Mine was maybe a total of 30 minutes. Mostly situational questions, some real and some hypothetical. The interviewer said he would guess that decisions will go out in about a month, maybe a little sooner or maybe a little later.

I am applying for the merit scholarship, I don't know why anybody wouldn't apply and at least give it a try.

I also had my interview this morning and I can’t wait to hear the results. I was told by my interviewer that they will be making the admission decisions on March 6, then through the following week around Mid March they will sending notifications.
