Look for the fundamentals on ebay they cost about $50 or $60?

Ok,

For central campus students, what must we have tomorrow at orientation. I know that you must have the : orientation packet (that is sold at the bookstore at 7:45 am), the our CAU's certificates, copy of drug, printed coopy of the online background check, original physical and immunization, copy of the fingerprint?, and is there anything else that i missed?

Do we put in a binder with sheet protector like north campus? it only say "folder" so i really dont know.

Did any of you use the hosa waiver for the extra 5 pts? If you did do you know how to get it? I need it.

Princess-

For HOSA you need to have completed it in high school within the last two years, and I believe it needed to be completed in a Broward County High School.....not sure about the other counties. If you did this, then my guess is that you would need something from your high school proving that. I would guess it would be on your high school transcripts, but I'm not sure. You can contact the health science department and find out.

I was in hosa all 4 years of highschool & competed all 4 years. I graduated from a medical magnet highschool in dade county in 2007. I'm almost positive hosa doesn't show on transcripts because it's like an extracaricular activity kind of like a club. Although, at my highschool because I was in the medical magnet it was required. I think my best bet would be to call BCC tomorrow. I just thought I'd ask on here because I had seen some talk on other posts at earliar dates for the hosa waiver. The BCC website mentions hosa. But it doesn't mention how to prove you were in it.

There's a lady named *********** who will evaluate ur high school transcript. BC has agreement with certain high schools and ur school will need to be one of them to get the credit. I didn't get the credit because my school was not a participant.

Yeah my HOSA classes said Health Careers I, Health Careers II and Allied Hlth Asst. ******* will be able to evaluate the classes and convert them to HOSA credit if applicable. When she was done it was determined that I had completed the HOSA program, just not at a participating school.

shescoolie did you get the credit? i took health I, health II, some other health classes and then the CNA program internship during my senior year. think i'll get it? do you know how i can contact ********? or do you suggest i just go to her personally?

nvm she's coolie i reread your post .. i hope i can get the credit!

Check ur pm.

does anyone know if after process i and ii end, do we still use the fundamentals of nursing and skills books??

i found some sites that rent the book out to you for like $50 but i dont know if its worth it or just to buy the book and keep for anything in thr future.

you need to keep the skills book, you learn new skills throughout the program. the fundamentals book is also a good reference for care plans.

hey,

do u really need the CD that comes with the fundamentals book?? i have found it online for a lot less without the CD!!!
