My friend told me that when she went to orientation at Central, they said something about needing the polos. Maybe its different for them??? I'm glad North doesn't need them.

you agreed to abide by the terms of service when you registered here. tos clearly states:

no potentially libelous information about specific schools, instructors, or health care facilities/entities should be posted in these forums. while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:

  1. it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.
  2. while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
  3. please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.

Did anyone else receive the email form South Campus for the first day of clinicals???

There are a couple of things you need to take for lab and I am a bit confused...

"To Bring: The required items that you have already learned about for lab, do bring your Perry and Potter skills book, Your Jarvis Physical Assessment book, your stethoscope, pen light, watch with second hand, etc.. The packets Ms. Quinn instructed you to bring."

What are the required items we have already learned for lab??? I am not aware of that.

When she says the jarvis book, Im guessing its the pocket companion and not the actual book because there is a difference there and n the booklist they as for the pocket companion.

What is a pen light??? is that the pen looking flashlight???

What packets???

Omg I feel soo lost....

For central campus students,

Does anyone know what the handout packet for NUR1020L & NUR1210L by Jennifer Kantis is ?

When I went to the bookstore at central there was only the Green packet, but I think it was the Module.

Also, Are we supposed to finish unit 1 and 2 in the Castillo book by Moday? I'm confused with the email that was sent by Professor Smith.

Smiley-

The pen light is a pen sized/looking flashlight. They should have some in the bookstore. The Jarvis book is the pocket companion. As far as the "packets" and the "required items for lab" I'd email them and ask what they want. Unfortunately, I am going to North, so I have no idea what they mean.

The packet by J. Kantis is the Yellow one, they have it now at the bookstore (I just got mine this morning).

I have the same question about finishing unit 1 and 2 by Monday. It sounds like we need to have it ready. She's also mentioning that she'll do an uniform inspection on the first clinical day (Tuesday).

Is that the big yellow packet?

Have any of you bought the lab supply kit? On the course info sent by the professor it describes it as a "supply box packet" however what the bookstore gave me was a Broward college Health Science backback like thing full of stuff. Is that right?

Is that the big yellow packet?

Yes, thats the one.

Isn't that for Nursing Process II Module?

At North campus, the lab kit comes in a health science back pack.
