  1. What's the most common, weirdest, funniest things you always forget to take out of your pocket before you leave and end up going home with? Me, I aalways go home with a floor supply of alcohol pads and gauze. The other night I went home with a blood draw set, complete with needle, tourniquet AND red top lol. How did I not feel that?!
  2. I'd have to go with Cherokee prob in XXS if they have. They seem a bit shorter than most tops.
  3. I loooove uniformadvantage.com. They have really cute scrubs that contour/compliment the body. They ship quickly too.
  4. Did you follow the steps in the link I posted? How long ago did you take your exam?
  5. The "Delivery Successful" is not an indication of pass or fail. You need to do the Pearson Vue trick. Click this link https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/pearsonvue-trick-part-403722.html, read and follow the instructions and you should know whether or not you passed. Blessings with your results!
  6. Oops sorry OP. :/ I didn't realize that you couldn't they didn't mention it when I left and I got my license in the mail today.
  7. That was not the case for me. I tested in Florida and they never told me what I could or could not write on my board. As soon as I sat down, I wrote: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2. Then I wrote my name, shecoolie, RN. Then I wrote EVERY SINGLE LAB VALUE I COULD REMEMBER right away! I kept tally of how many and what types of questions I had and jotted down my work for the math problems. The only they told me was to raise my hand if I filled up my board and needed a new one and I could not erase anything.
  8. OMG I had to LOL when I read some of these!!! Here are a few of my personal codes: 8102-Paying misc. bills online while pretending to chart 8103-Buying life sustaining goods online (pumps, happy hour dress, and matching accessories) while pretending to chart
  9. In question #1 you can see that the first three actions, the NURSE is doing the action, in the last one the nurse is teaching the CLIENT to do the action and in turn placing the client in a role of self-care. All of the answers are good, but this is the BEST answer, because it gives us the best outcome...the patient is able to be independent in providing his own care if we choose D. In #2, I think the key work is INCREASING. How is increasing referrals reeeeallly managing care? It is not. I think if it just said making appropriate referrals, then that would have made the answer right. Think about it, how would a nurse INTENTIONALLY increase referrals? You would always have to be deliberately looking a service that MAYBE the patient needs just to keep your referral numbers up. Just doesn't make sense.
  10. Ok wait, I didn't read the rest of your posting...so Kaplan said the anser is B huh? I don't know about that one. Sometimes the decision tree doesn't work for every problem. (sucks to know that right!) I would still pick A lol.
  11. I know you've eliminated the other two, but it would help me to help you if I saw the other two options. If I had to pick 1 of the 2, I've go with describe your normal daily food intake. It is an assessment which should be done first if your question doesn't give you enough data. But again, I'd like to know the other options before I say definitely that's the answer.
  12. I had a question like this in my kaplan qbank and the answer was fluids. I believe the idea is what good is it to give O2 to rbc that have clumped together occluding blood flow the the affected body part. Even if you gave O2, it wouldn't get there because the rbcs can't flow freely to the area to deliver O2. Additionally, the pain from the crisis is a direct result of the occlusion, so you treat the cause of the occlusion> hence IVF> decrease pain and deliver O2 more effectively. Hope that makes sense
  13. Hi there! I had 75 questions and finished in just about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  14. I hear Cleveland Clinic in West Broward county hires lots of new grads. I also met and spoke with the head of the department of education at Jackson Hospital in Miami and she said they recently restarted their new grad training program and they are definitely hiring. There is one more hospital I think its Mount Sinai in Miami also that has a new grad program.
