Does Anyone Here Knows, How Long Will It Take To Receive The Nclex Eligibility In Florida?
I'm Ready To Send My Application This Week, And I Would Like To Know What's The Time Frame So I Can Schedule Everything Including My Formal Review. Thanks In Advance.
maan letina, thank you for that relieving info!! but can i qualify as a registered nurse there? were you able to take the test as a registered nurse? please tell me about the whole process. i am scared that i might encounter technicalities in the future as to my status. thank you so much!
maam shiina, what does graduate registered nurse exact meaning? am i not qualified to work as a registered nurse with that status?
My letter quoted the same, I think it's because we did not graduate from a US nursing school. Just go ahead and register with Pearson, you are eligible for NCLEX. Good luck :)
The Board Staff member emailed me at once regarding my query on Graduate Registered Nurses. here is her message:
Graduate nurse status is for those who have recently graduated from their nursing program. It is only in effect for 6 months after graduation and is only granted after eligibility is given and an Authorization to Test is sent from NCS Pearson. Good luck to you.
there you go. God Bless...

it should not bother you.
that just applies for those who are already in the US but since youre still probably applying for a visa, then you're not qualified for a graduate rn status.
it does not affect your nclex eligibility (they just told you you're eligible to sit for nclex!). just go ahead and register and break a neck (yeah!) on your exam.
Just a follow up on this thread:
I got my Florida-BON NCLEX Eligibility last February 2007, exactly a month after submission of my application and the evaluation was already forwarded to them by the Josef Silny Evaluators.
I registered to Pearson Vue yesterday, and got the ATT today. The ATT is valid for 3 months.
I just want to let some ,who may want to know the time frame that Florida BON has.Good luck to everyone.
do i need to take CGFNS first in order to file for an eligibility in taking the NCLEX exam? yes, I saw the link, but I'm a little confused about the requirements...
Right
You need to get CES done with CGFNS You do not need to sit the exam. CES is an evaluation of your nursing transcripts. This needs to be done before you apply to Florida BON with your application form. Once CES is sent to Florda BON you send your application with Fee to the address in the link
Once you have been given the OK to sit NCLEX (that you meet BON requirements) you register with Pearsonvue and they will issue ATT once they are notified by BON that you meet requirements.
You do not need to pass english exam for the BON but will need to pass for visa screen certificate which does not need to be applied for until you pass NCLEX as the application is valid for only 12 months.
Hope this helps
sorry for posting twice in a row....uhmm...i saw the link, but this one confuses me:
1)the board of nursing requires you to have your nursing education evaluated by an approved credentialing agency for examination candidates. request the nursing or healthcare profession & science course-by-course credentials review. you are responsible for all fees charged by these services. applicants are urged to apply first to one of the three approved credential review services below and when that process is completed to apply for licensure in florida.
what credentials should i send to the address in the link?

Oh, I get it! hmmm...I passed the IELTS exam already, so does this mean that I don't need their certificate? SO all I have to do is pass my credentials to CGFNS?

Good Luck Tabby!
If you're already here in Florida, you can work as nurse technician in the hospital with that status.
