Im confused whether i should accept the job in florida or in california.
I've worked in fl but it was a PCU and i dont have ICU experience. I've always wanted to work in an ICU setting in California. Now i am offered ICU in Florida, but I also have an offer in NorCal in PCU.
If I accept the PCU job in NorCal, is it easy to lateral transfer to ICU from PCU? If that is possible, how long do I need to work in PCU before I can transfer to ICU?
If I accept the ICU job in Florida, is it going to be easier to for me to tranfer to Cali in the future?

I've worked in both California and Florida. Cali is the better choice. Of course I'm biased because I live here in Cali.

On the choice of where to live, I'm biased towards Northern California.
Where to work? Our wages are high and there are affordable places to live if you're not talking immediate Bay Area.
Also consider the mandated ratios.
There are certainly areas I would avoid, which are you looking at?

I live and work in FL and FL SUCKS..I love Cali!!! Go to Cali while you can--there is culture, beautiful beaches and scenery. FL is very flat and humid. We have nice beaches, but we don't have beautiful mountains like Cali--If i could move out west I would-- good Luck:)

I'm not interested in either state but I'd choose California over Florida hands down.
