FIU FNP Fall 2017

Hello! So I had decided to create a blog for those interested in the FIU's program for the upcoming fall. It's a bit early since applications are accepted in December. I signed up for nursingcas and tried looking for their program but for some reason it is not listed yet. Not sure if it's because it's too soon but I see other schools listed and it also starts the same time. I graduated last December and currently working full time and I just have an urge to go back to school now. Hope to hear from you guys soon! :)

Thank you for giving me the directions I found it! doesn't look like my gpa went down so I'm not sure why yours did. Congrats to the both of you and wish you two the best of luck! I'm super excited about this interview!

And you'll get a response if you get accepted sometime in the beginning of May so at least you can decide between one or the other.

I haven't received an email for an interview yet. I'm starting to feel a little discouraged . I submitted my application for the MSN program March 1st and everything was verified by the 8th. The last email I received was a few weeks ago about possibly applying to the MSN-DNP program because there were more spots available. Well still waiting.. I'll keep you guys posted.

I am in the same boat. I sent in my application right before the deadline and everything is verified. I called them and they said if you didn't recieve anything that they will be sending out more emails at the end of April for the second round of interviews that start may 1st.

I think it has to do with the time you submitted your application. I had submitted mine in December so I assume that must have been why they sent me an email first. But if they say there's a second round of interviews which I didn't know they had then you should get an email then!

Just had my interview today. Felt like I waited forever! I feel confident about it. Now just waiting for an email.

They asked me the following:

1. tell me about yourself, ur background

2. what made u choose FNP and the DNP route, what do u see yourself doing in 10 to 15 years

3. do you do any community work, volunteering

4. have you published an article (for dnp route)

5. elaborate on what you meant in your statement on so and so

6. (they make you choose a card in a fish bowl) to answer a scenario question. Mine was what would you diagnose a patient with certain presenting symptoms.

Hi guys! Im new to the thread. Just had my interview on Thursday for the Peds MSN program. Really excited and hoping to hear something soon, but they said we should hear back in about a month.
