FIU FNP Fall 2017

Hello! So I had decided to create a blog for those interested in the FIU's program for the upcoming fall. It's a bit early since applications are accepted in December. I signed up for nursingcas and tried looking for their program but for some reason it is not listed yet. Not sure if it's because it's too soon but I see other schools listed and it also starts the same time. I graduated last December and currently working full time and I just have an urge to go back to school now. Hope to hear from you guys soon! :)

Yes this is for the fall program but I had applied to the combined msn to dnp program for family nurse practitioner. Which one did you apply to and which specialty ? I honestly want to know why they're taking such a long time to let us know about our interview. I feel like I've been waiting forever !

Hi I have also submitted my application for fall 2017 FNP program. Has anyone heard of when maybe we would here back. I know I received an email for possibly mid April but wondering if anyone heard anything else

My GPA is 3.1 and I didn't take the GRE. I was a Telemetry RN for a year and now I'm a NICU RN for a year. You?

Okay not so different from me I have a 3.2 GPA and currently a tele nurse for one year now. I plan to continue to work full time during school.

I plan to go part time. Do you know how the program is. Like how much is online and how much is going to campus? And how many classes at a time?

I'm doing the msn-dnp route so it is a bit longer and it is set up differently. I did message the advisor in the past and she told me for the MSN program, lecture is once a week but doesn't mention about the clinical rotation. She also says it is okay to work full time the first year but definitely not the second year.

Hey everyone , so I'm also in the same boat ..waiting to hear back for interviews. ER RN BSN here, 3 yrs exp . 3.89 Gpa... and Fiu alumni got my first .. and 2nd bachelors there . Have a friend currently attending and he says . The curriculum is brutal ...
