Hello! So I had decided to create a blog for those interested in the FIU's program for the upcoming fall. It's a bit early since applications are accepted in December. I signed up for nursingcas and tried looking for their program but for some reason it is not listed yet. Not sure if it's because it's too soon but I see other schools listed and it also starts the same time. I graduated last December and currently working full time and I just have an urge to go back to school now. Hope to hear from you guys soon! :)
Did anyone else get this email? This is the second time i've gotten it, I got one before the interview as well. I e-mailed back to ask about how many spots there are for each and it looks like 35 for MSN and 65 for MSN-DNP, for all tracks! The weird thing is I specifically said I wanted to do my doctorate in the future but wasn't ready to commit to it at this point..... starting to get nervous that I keep getting this email. Also didn't realize it was only 35 spots, more competitive than i thought!
Hello,
I hope this email finds you well. From the faculty who conducted your interview, I learned that you expressed an interest in research. This email is a reminder that we still have spots available in our Combined MSN-DNP program while the Solo MSN much more competitive. The DNP portion of the program will allow you to conduct the research of your interest. I would like to stress that even though admission into this program requires GRE, we DO NOT have a minimum score for it and this criteria is NOT used for admission evaluation purposes.
Again, please see below the Program Brochures so that you are able to compare both programs. If you are interested in changing your application to the Combined MSN-DNP, please contact me back by the end of the work day tomorrow, Wednesday 4/26.
