Hey guys! Is anyone here applying for the Generic BSN program for Fall 2016? I couldn't find any topics for it.
I'm in the process of applying right now and I just took the TEAS V today! I'm content with my score, but I may retake it. I hope that with my TEAS V score, my GPA, and my extracurricular activities combined that have a good chance of getting accepted into the program!
My stats are:
Science GPA: 4.0
GPA: 3.96
TEAS V Cumulative score: 79.3%
Reading portion: 83.3% unfortunately I ran out time on this one and had to blindly guess on two questions!
Math portion: 66.7% such a bad score for me! I had to guess on like 5 questions because I wasn't keeping track of time!
Science: 81.3% I'm so relieved with this score. I was so scared that I wouldn't pass the 62% mark. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!
English and Grammar: 83.3 % It was an okay section, a couple of tricky questions. I had like 3 questions on how a word is spelled correctly and those get confusing when two of them look like the right answer!
I would love to hear from anyone else who is also applying for the Fall 2016!
Hey everyone! Congrats on all your acceptances!! I am a pre-nursing student right now at FIU and I was wondering if you submitted your application early, will they answer early? Also, what books did you guys study to get high scores on the TEAS?
Purchase the official ATI Teas book. And the online practice exams from ATI as well.
Hey guys, for anyone that is in Memorial West Clinical, I am having trouble with the paperwork. I emailed Prof. Olafson about it and she said its on complio website, yet I am unable to see it. I was just wondering cause we've been told that Complio gives us an email for instructions on how to do the paperwork but I haven't received the email yet.

FIU uses Barnes & Noble bookstore. Go on fiu.bncollege.com ... Click on textbooks, you will then choose the campus the department NUR then the course and section. I found everything online except for the fundamentals of nursing.
For the other classes, you can rent them on other websites. The only problem is that 2 of the books I think , come in a package with access code or other supplemental materials. I only found the books on other websites. So if the teacher wants everything you gotta get it from the school.
@Dopamine_Drip So i actually called the professors for the class. We basically have to get the books from the bookstore because its in a package. For the nursing fundamentals the package contains everything for NUR 3029, NUR 3029C and NUR 3029L. It is 318.25 for the package with the ebook and the needed items and about $420 for the package that includes the ebook and a hardcopy of the book as well as the other needed items. The health assessment book is recommended but not required so you decide whether you want to purchase it or not. The pathophysiology package is about $175 i think for the hardcopy book and some access codes for adaptive quizzing.
