Hey guys! Is anyone here applying for the Generic BSN program for Fall 2016? I couldn't find any topics for it.
I'm in the process of applying right now and I just took the TEAS V today! I'm content with my score, but I may retake it. I hope that with my TEAS V score, my GPA, and my extracurricular activities combined that have a good chance of getting accepted into the program!
My stats are:
Science GPA: 4.0
GPA: 3.96
TEAS V Cumulative score: 79.3%
Reading portion: 83.3% unfortunately I ran out time on this one and had to blindly guess on two questions!
Math portion: 66.7% such a bad score for me! I had to guess on like 5 questions because I wasn't keeping track of time!
Science: 81.3% I'm so relieved with this score. I was so scared that I wouldn't pass the 62% mark. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!
English and Grammar: 83.3 % It was an okay section, a couple of tricky questions. I had like 3 questions on how a word is spelled correctly and those get confusing when two of them look like the right answer!
I would love to hear from anyone else who is also applying for the Fall 2016!
Ugh i have work on Fridays at those times that's why i picked section 1 for classes just so i don't have classes on Friday's. I need a clinical that's on a Thursday or else I'll have to change my work schedule again. And yeah why are they so much forms and then that completion course it's like an entire class to complete. Plus i wasn't there on orientation but i specifically told them i needed a clinical that was held on Thursday's.
My clinicals are on Thursdays. I work on Fridays too that's why I chose section 1. I'm the only guy in my group lol ...
I don't understand how the did those placements because if you choose section 1 your clinicals should be on Thursdays. That's how they set the schedule that they gave us. It's not fair to change what a student sign up for, especially when they said whichever section is filled everyone else will be added to the other section. Like you and other people, I chose my schedule based on my work schedule.
I didn't want any problem that's why i rushed and went to sign up on Monday early morning.
About those completion courses, I cannot even register on the website because I don't have the required VA POC name or email address. I contacted Yap for assistance.
Hey. I originally chose section 2, but have been placed at Memorial Regional Miramar (which I love) for clinicals on thursdays, which places me in section 1 (bummed about the two 7AM classes) . If anyone in section 2 has the same clinical site and would like section 1 classes, I am open to switching.
Unfortunately, clinicals are designed to sort of determine what section you are in... So if you have thursday clinicals youre destined for section 1; Friday clinicals means section 2.
But if you can find someone to switch your thursday for their friday clinical than you can get the 9am classes of section 2 í ½í¸Š
I got VA Spinal Cord. I emailed Yap yesterday. He replied this morning saying that he will help me on the 3rd when he comes back on the 3rd. The deadline to submit these papers is the 6th. These courses take about 1 hour to complete. I'll have to go down there on the 3rd, bring everything for him to review. Go back home and get all I need and hopefully I can give it all to him on Friday the 5th.

That's the information to get on the website. If you look through the application form you'll see her name and address in the form i just went to bathroom website and they had all of her contact information there it went through for me because i have access to the class now and the deadline for the class is August 5

I spoke to Claudia paredes and the classes only switch if you were initially in section 2 and got Thursday clinicals. Those in section 1 have Friday's and Thursday's off so it doesn't matter which day of clinicals they get. Only section 2 class schedules are affected.
I am willing to switch with anyone who has a Thursday clinical. I have work on Fridays and i know hr at my job is tired of changing my schedule. I don't care where the location is i just need clinical on Thursday.
Because there are clinicals for that same location on both Thursday's and Friday's. So once there is a spot i can just switch with a person who has Friday's. I found someone who wants to switch me. I'm just trying to get approval for the switch now.
