Fingerprint card

Hi! Just want to ask where can i get the fingerprint card and how much is it?
And do i really need to request for interim permit? what is it for? I would be taking NCLEX-CA..

hi YDA! I emailed the board and ask for the fingerprint card and application forms...

i did not request for an interim permit...

just browse the CA board's website and ull find all your queries there..:)

you can apply for interim permit if you intend to work before taking nclex. you'll be under the supervision of an RN. just remember that it expires immediately once the result of your nclex is out-failed or pass. tsaka you need to be physically in the state to get one. if you're still here in the Phils, they won't issue it.

how do i fill up the fingerprint card?

(1) Employer and Address ___________ do i leave it blank? coz i don't have an employer

(2) Reason fingerprinted ___________ nclex examination?

(3) Place of Birth _________ do i need to be specific? or just the country

what do they mean in the EXAMINATION APPLICATION...........

Before submitting your application to the Board of Nursing be sure that you have included the following and check off each:

3. Two fingerprint cards; fingerprint certificate form; authorization for release form and money order for $31.00 made out to the Department of Public Safety.

For the emplyer and address, just leave it blank. State the reason is to take the NCLEX.

hi suzanne! hi everybody! im from the philippines..ive read from the forums that in order to obtain a fingerprint card, i have to ask that to the Board of Nursing in California through email..i just want to ask if there is a payment for that.how much? wen i already have the card, where will i get it done?at the DOJ or at the NBI..im confused..

i hope you guys can help me..

With regards to requesting to your fingerprint card in Cali yes your right you can request directly from the website of BON-cali there it's still free of charge. The moment you send your application($75) with the fingerprint and the bankdraft thats the time you'll pay for the processing of the fingerprint card which costs $32 Go to NBI Carriedo in Manila because they do process fingerprint cards there from different states in the UNited States. for free you'll just have to pay 20 pesos for entrance to NBI. But if your in the province i think you can process your NBI to their regional offices. I hope this helps.

hi babysmiley! thank you for your reply..its really a big help! i just want to ask another question..i tried to visit the wbsite of BON of CA which is the Welcome to the California Board of Registered Nursing Web Site! and i havent seen any email address there. how on earth will i contact them regarding my request for fingerprint card?will i send them a letter?thank you so much for the reply..Godbless!

ok try this website this is a shortcut link for the request for fingerprint card for cali : https://app.dca.ca.gov/rn/requests.htm. Just scroll it down and fill up the mailing request wherein its asking for the # of fingerprints you want to be send to your address. Skip the portion for live scan.... then scroll the bottom part and just fill up the portion which states "COMPLETE THE FIELDS BELOW TO PROVIDE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS:"... I hope ull be able to request your fingerprint card... It might take 2-3 weeks before you get your fingerprint card... I got my fingerprint card exactly 1 week and 1 day.
