I applied to a local nursing school in my area in March of this year and had my entire application complete (references, transcripts, NET test, etc by April) and only needed to interview with the Dean. The registrar would tell me to just go ahead and register for classes and she would get me an interview as soon as she could, so I did. I finally got my interview in the beginning of June and received my acceptance letter yesterday. When I went in for my interview they were trying to see if I was interested in the evening program where I could do my coreqs during the day and the nursing courses in the evening. I decided against it because I would be doing between 15-18 credits a semester and that was too much. So I am considered a pre-nursing student and will do my prereqs this year and start the nursing program in the fall of 2004. It feels good to be officially accepted, even though in my heart I knew I would be going to this school.

Congratulations Nicky! Sounds like you made a good decision. The nursing program is already hard enough without taking pre-reqs at the same time. Enjoy the pre reqs and the social time they allow.
