hi guys! I am a foreign graduate and an RN from the Philippines, I migrated here in California last April 27, 2014 and was planning to take NCLEX RN. I graduated 2 years ago and I was hoping that you could give me some information regarding application and requirements on taking NCLEX RN. I was wondering where will I send my credentials for them to evaluate whether it is incomplete, concurrent or what? do I need to pay the fee for the application right away?
please help me...

hi,., first welcome to the US kabayan!! hmm,., try to call the BON in CALI and ask them about the requirements,. cause it varies per state,., i believe cali don't require CGFNS evaluation which my state does,. and as of now,. filipinos applying in CALI are having a hard time getting their test permits in that state due to that above mentioned issues like concurrency,., supposedly i'll be applying with BON CALI but i don't want to wait for long period of time like some of my friends did, that some of them until now are still in pending cases,., so i just applied in the other state (BON HI) for me., and it didn't took me long enough to sit before nclex.. passed mine last march of this year,. so in due time i might just apply for reciprocity in CALI..

If you cannot meet the requirements for CA then you cannot endorse to CA.You still have to meet their requirements even if endorsing.
Yup loriangel...california bon is kinda strict...

Guys, click here to read about endorsing (reciprocity, especially if CA is your target): https://allnurses.com/nurse-registration/endorsement-back-into-746541.html
Thanks for the info steppybay...
Not strict by any means, just that in CA, they are enforcing the concurrency rules that has been established since 1987.
Then, kindly ask our CHED, PNA and PRC on why haven't they been keeping up with the regulations that they have known for many years.
Just for the record, you guys should know that the PH agencies have trekked over to meet with the CA BRN (Dec. 2012) on the concurrency issues and were basically told by the CA BRN to get their act together and the PH agencies have promised everyone from their previous student grads to the current enrolled ones they will straighten this mess out, but who knows what's going on in the Phils?
There was talk that the CHED will come up with an "approved" list of approved schools in the PH to meet the issues, but nothing yet (a year down the road).
