Hi! I know I am early but anyone looking to apply for FGCU starting Jan 2019? Apps are due May 15, 2018! Anyone know the stats of people who have gotten in and interview tips? Thanks in advance! :)
Have been looking at forums for a while now, Figured Id post... I feel my interview was really really good (but who knows?). I have awesome experience I was a RRT for 1 year before pacu/icu/er float pool nursing. I havent gotten a phone call yet.
Talked with a friend who is in anesthesia school in Minnesota. He said to be careful what you post on here cause sometimes people at the schools read the posts. So I dont wanna get into too many details. Thanks for your support.
TBH, I dont know how I feel about the other school Wilford... I dont know why anyone would want to go to a place that is barely hanging on. My friend is a CRNA in Wisconsin and says they take a lot of people who are bound to fail out and dont have such a good reputation around the country. All this chaos down there makes me worried.
I guess if my other interviews at U Penn and Duke dont go well. Id consider applying there. Definitely a very last resort.
Yep. A couple more hoops to jump through and they are good. Being under Keiser is going to go a long way towards making them stable. Lots of businesses go through rough periods. Best thing about theirs was they made sure their current students were unaffected. Basically they missed out on starting two classes and are back at it.
I think youre right about the business part, from what I've heard from my Friend in Wisconsin and some research online, they are business people. I guess it was nice of them to not affect their current students since they paid tuition and everything else.
The school was started by anesthesiologists and NCH to fill the demand for CRNAs. They are not a bad school, but are victims of the snobby attitude of other programs. When you finish and take the exam and have "CRNA" after your name, it doesn't matter where you went.
Apply now. Class starts August 27!
Do you share these concerns of the masses about the Wilford? Have to say its kind of scary when EVERYONE is telling you to run away and CRNAs from 10,000 miles away say its bad. I guess I didnt realize how small of a community CRNAs are until I heard all the things about it. Just makes you wonder... How bad could it be?
