FGCU CRNA 2020
I previosuly applied. I hear what you are saying but i dont think personal circumstances can cause that many people to fail and then fail again. I will look into other programs pass rates also.

FGCU CRNA 2020
Thanks for posting! I saw the recent pass rate for the recent graduates and was concerned about what is going on there. I may apply again for this program. Any one have any thoughts on Board Pass Rates in general or the terrible one for this past class?

Finally Accepted!!! Need Advice.
Yeah honestly I'm not interested in coming in and just intubating and leaving! I did enough of that as an RRT, trust me I saved the day MANY of times in CICV situations. #BullardLaryngoscope. I am excited to be the captain of the ship and really make all the important descision and learn how to do regional anesthesiology.

Finally Accepted!!! Need Advice.
Thanks for sticking up for me! Good advice, I wanna be good at procedures but I guess you should do the whole surgery and not just jump around! I plan on advocating for CRNA independnce and wont let MD(a)'s hold me back! We are just as smart and intelligent than residents.

Finally Accepted!!! Need Advice.
Hey all, I was finally accepted into a tremendous Nurse Anesthesiology Program. Could not be happier :). That all being said I am looking for advice... What can I do to set my-self apart from the masses... I want to rise to the cream of the crop and be an amazing provider. I want to be better than my classmates and be seen as the best of the best students. I know staying late during rotations and fighting for the hardest surgeries will make me the best CRNA. What else can I do to set my-self apart from the other students? I already am an RRT and am VERY comfortible with ventilators and ariways. I can't wait to get into some of the biggest cases! God Bless TIA.

Wolford college CRNA Spring 2018
"If" they need to fill seats? The definitely need to fill seats. People aren't beating the doors down to get into a program under transition and with a long history of a poor reputation. Apply and I'm sure you'll get in. They will need to fill seats I'm sure.... PLEASE look at what others have said about this.

Why switch from FNP to CRNA?

Wolford college CRNA Spring 2018
While some of the facts/opinions may be fuzzy or debatable, one thing holds true based on this discussion. The school (Wolford/Wilford/Keiser) has a long way to go to repair it's image on the national anesthesia front. I ONLY see attending this school if you live in the continental USA and literally can't get in anywhere else OR if you live in the local Florida area and cannot get into the other school there (which has exponentially cheaper in-state tuition). I get that everyone wants to think their program is/was the best. But it ain't true! 99.9% of programs are what you make them. 0.01% are economic shams wanting to produce anesthesia etherbots that have less independence than an experienced critical care nurse. Ask yourself... the following are YOU planning and executing the anesthetic plan? This includes preoperative assessment and postoperative management. OR are YOU reading a note written by a medical doktor and following orders? Doing the anesthesia does not just mean intubating or doing the spinal.

Look at their attrition rate for the past several years. A name change does not change a culture. Kiester buying them was a big money deal. You're nieve if you don't think money plays a big part in anesthesia. The ICU EMT-P hopes he'll have CRNA after his name. will his training reflect INDEPENDENT CRNA practice or medically directed AA style education! This is what you must ask yourself when you choose a program.

Wolford college CRNA Spring 2018
I have done massive research on the topic of Wolford/Keiser and tend to agree with MilkofAmnesia. I hear this is a last resort type program. The program puts quantity > quality. My great aunt is a CRNA in the local area and reports this and she is no snob. She was taught in the 1960s by catholic nuns administering drop ether anesthesia for rural surgery.

Do I stand a chance?
I'd have to agree with SPOLAR.

Still wondering on what the deal is here? Is the program accepting applicants? Was all the issues sorted out? TIA
