  1. Me! Nothing that officially says they prefer TGH due to their affiliation. They're very familiar with TGH though and the ICU floors as well as their acuity. I don't think they care where you're from just as long as you're taking the sickest patients and getting exposure to various drips, vents, hemodynamics, modalities, etc. It's the only level 1 trauma center in the region so by default if you work there you're getting some of the sickest of the sick. And the faculty are very familiar with each ICU as well as what they do in terms of modalities and whatnot. Hope that helps!
  2. For everyone who interviewed or about to interview, I spoke to admissions regarding when we get decisions. They said first round of decisions historically is late August. Little bit of a wait but I hope everyone enjoys their summers in the meantime ❤️
  3. Yes it's still emotional intelligence. Congrats on your interview!
  4. Hey y'all, so I turned my application in around the beginning of April, I got a confirmation email saying they've received everything, and everything's showing up as received on webadvisor. Butttttt I just helped someone put their's in on Tuesday and the email healthsciences send back was way different than the one I got a month ago. It was saying that things have changed and to go to HCC website for more information on how to send it in but... I already... sent it in LOL what? I was wondering if anyone has gotten that email after they submitted their application and if that email is a "confirmation' email. because that's not the same email I got a month ago.
  5. 1.) Dale mornings 2.) Dale afternoons 3.) Dale nights 4.) Southshore I really just prefer Dale because that’s where I’ve been going and it’s closest so literally any time works for me. GPA 3.85 and TEAS 80 Good luck to everyone ❤️
  6. I got a message yesterday saying that they’re switching to a different form of turning in the application. The advisor told me they won’t accept mailing or turning it in on campus, so he said that the move now is to email your application to health sciences. I will be doing mine shortly but I wanted to make sure other people got the message also?
  7. Hey y'all, so with this whole coronavirus thing, it's been kind of difficult for me to find answers regarding nursing. I plan to apply for fall but I'm confused as far as admissions go? Firstly, on the nursing application it says that I need my hcc transcripts and my high school transcripts, but why would I need those if I've been going to HCC for almost 2 years now? Don't they technically already have them? And I took TEAS at HCC and scored an 80%, however I'm not sure how they want me to give them my results? Again I imagine that they already have these things? I guess I just don't understand how they want me to provide these things for the application? Have I overthought this? I dunno I'm just getting very anxious! Good luck to everyone and be safe!
