FGCU CRNA 2019

Published

Hi! I know I am early but anyone looking to apply for FGCU starting Jan 2019? Apps are due May 15, 2018! Anyone know the stats of people who have gotten in and interview tips? Thanks in advance! :)

Not to be the negative Nancy but I'm pretty sure that time frame allows a buffer for them to fill spots in the event people decline or drop. Hence, I am not holding my breath by hoping for that bc it may very likely not happen considering this is the last masters class. Sorry to be abrupt, but I'm just being realistic.

Thank you for encouragement... but I have a feeling that everybody who was selected already got called..

I agree Remi28, chances that somebody will decline are pretty slim..

I knew after the first question I wasn't getting in. The condescending and interrogative approach set the tone for an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. I felt like I was put in a position where I had to defend my practice, work ethic, and my basic competencies than being able to properly represent myself as a capable young woman. No bueno. Disheartening loss but I'm happy to move forward in hopes of finding a school that sees my worth.

I left with a bad feeling Monday. Interview felt rushed and superficial. Maybe it's my imagination

FYI, Wolford is back in business. Bought by Kaiser and taking apps for a class that starts August 27.

No, they pretty much told us from the beginning we are on a strict timeline and have many interviews today... I just didn't think a rushed, superficial interview could be so evasive.

When the timeline fell over an hour behind, things changed.

Aug 27 this year? I just don't trust that that school isn't going to implode soon.

Remi, I'm so sorry you had this experience! It sounds from others, they were rushing a bit. It's good you realize that if they don't see you're a capable individual, that another school will & they'll obviously be a better fit. My interview went smoothly until the last question. They asked why I would leave Texas. It felt like she was implying something was wrong with me for considering leaving Texas & coming to Florida. I was so thrown off by the change in tone, that I stammered through my answer. I KNOW why I like Florida, but I was so caught off guard. I almost felt like I was doing something wrong. I did the best I could. I agree with you that they're probably done making calls. Best case scenario is they're sorting through several "maybes" for few spots remaining.

Yep. A couple more hoops to jump through and they are good. Being under Keiser is going to go a long way towards making them stable. Lots of businesses go through rough periods. Best thing about theirs was they made sure their current students were unaffected. Basically they missed out on starting two classes and are back at it.

..and the waiting continues.. any luck anyone? :)
