FGCU CRNA 2019

Published

Hi! I know I am early but anyone looking to apply for FGCU starting Jan 2019? Apps are due May 15, 2018! Anyone know the stats of people who have gotten in and interview tips? Thanks in advance! :)

Ok...lets not get too off the Earth's axis...Comparing the NCLEX or Excelsior's exam to the NCE is like comparing a Kia to a BMW....thats just not a good analogy at all. With that said...every program is what you make of it...they are all tough and challenging..even Wolford. So yes it is true that "individual" effort accounts for most of your success. But you will have a hard time convincing anyone, who has an elementary grasp on statistics, that wolford's 67% pass rate last year falls totally on the lap of poor students....and if you do think that way, then you should be concerned about their ability to screen/select their candidates. It boils down to this..if you are not given the right information...the NCE will bite you in the bum. Furthermore, to say aligning with Keiser guarantees accreditation....you should go to COA site and see how many programs are in deferred status....why do you think University of Tulsa is having a hard time getting their program started? Why do you think Mercer University closed their program? Having a University support doesn't guarantee anything.

In closing...Im not saying don't give Wolford a shot, but it shouldn't be you only shot...or your first shot...dont panic...dont get desperate...there is a reason people are getting passed over for their top choices....figure it out, fix it, and you will be fine.

The point is you've spent two years plus learning material and studying. If you can't pass the certification test, look at yourself, not your program. All things are relative.

Yea I passed my NCLEX last year on the first try (so happy). I hope I will pass My CRNA NCLEX on the first try too. What were clinicals like for your hubby? You met in tampa ( i thought they were south of tampa). Thanks for youre helping us..

I dunno man. Its hard to change statistics. The numbers dont lie and "we arent talkin bout practice". lol

They are not as stringent about who they accept. That is going to make their grad rate and pass rate lower. If you can complete the program and pass the exam, you deserve a chance.

Maybe it would be helpful to move this to the Wolford discussion for the sake of those following just for FGCU and so those interested in Wolford can join you there.

You are right. This went sideways. I simply wanted to let people know there was an alternative. Cheers.

there are 100+ alternatives, that arent in limbo. if you cant get in anywhere else then ya thats the alternative.

Did anyone give FGCU a call? I'm not sure if all spots are taken yet, but also don't want to wait if it's "over".

Just to give everyone still waiting an update, I recieved my official offer of admission in the mail the other day. We have until July 11th to respond, so I imagine at that point a couple of spots might free up as some people may choose to go else where or decline for some other reason.

What he said. The director said give them three weeks to get it finalized.

I did give them a call but I was told to email the director with any questions about acceptance because she couldn't give me any details or feedback that I asked for. Also, she said the director would be out in til next Monday. So I guess wait until July 11th like thedude said and hope to be an alternate with a chance to join the class
