I had to withdraw from my classes this semester. My bf and I are moving and it will be too far for me to commute to school AND work. Which means I am putting off the science prereq's for another semester.
I know that a semester isn't very long for some people, but I am in my late 20's and feel like this is going to take me forever. I feel like giving up and I haven't even started.
I was going to basically reiterate what the rest of the posters are all saying.."where there's a will, there's a way"!! don't give up, one semester is not a big deal. Maybe you can take an online class? Don't give up and don't let this one setback stop you from doing something you want to do..Twenties are not old! There are women in their fifties going back to school. It's ok to be bummed out for a minute..but next semester try to find different arrangements
Way to make assumptions about a situation you know NOTHING about. For the record, I am the one that is moving to help a family member in crisis and he cares so much about my sister that he insisted on coming along to give financial support and assist with caring for her 2 small kids. And where did I say I was 20?And my education has never been put on hold, as I already have a degree. Thanks for your unnecessary input.
You're welcome!! Anytime. Not knowing what to do in this situation and posting for encourament, I thought you were 20. Good luck to you in nursing school! You'll feel like crying then as well.
One more thing, what are you doing moving away with your boyfriend at 20. I'm 36 years old and reccommend you to put your education first, then move away with your HUSBAND.I really hope you don't regret puting your education on hold for a boyfriend. People I know, have live to regret THAT decision. Good LUCK to you!

:plsebeg: can't we all just get along? .... Although :igtsyt: I admit I sometimes enjoy reading a short-lived clawing ... :bdyhdclp:
That is awesome !!!On a side note: It's so GREAT to meet so many others here that "older".
I'll second that! I haven't read all the posts but I'm guessing I may win the prize: 54 and re-taking my pre-reqs. Heck, I figure I've still got another 10 good years in the work force and I'm going to do it as a nurse.
Hey sweetie! please dont be discouraged!! I started my second bachelors in nursing as of last fall 08...did great in every other class except pharmacology. Missed passing by 2.5 points. I was completely heartbroken....but this past 8 months off has given me so much strength. I started working as a CNA at a nursing home in the time being. I know its hard to be delayed but your time will come!! I start back again in a week!!
I also have a "positive" cell message to myself as another poster stated.
Mine is...."happy, calm and FREE"
Much love to you all,
jessica
