subscribe to this thread if you are a february '09 test taker. i want to send out support to those of you studying and cannot wait until your test date! especially if you are like me studying daily and working with other new grads whom have already taken his/her exam and passed.
how is your studying going? what are you using?
i am following suzanne's plan and have been diligent thus far. btw, i work full-time as a new grad and am attending a rn-bsn program. i have no life but it will be worth it to pass the nclex!
Supposedly, the NCSBN has a hand in creating board questions. To me, joining their review seemed like the wise thing to do. I hear rumours that there have been repeat Qs from that review on the NCLEX....
Some of the scores are a little scary. The alternative format questions are nearly impossible in my opinion...
Ex: Since when is a PPD placed on the UPPER ARM (above the elbow!)? I was always taught that it is placed on the inner forearm... The "hot spot" answer was looking for a PPD placement on the R upper arm... (pt had a L vascath - okay so go the the R arm, no?)
Anyway just venting....
hey everyone! i wish all the february test takers pass the test, including me!! i take mine on the 12th! please pray for me. ive taken this test like more than 3x and i just pray hard this time that ill make it. ive been doing my review since december ive spent a month on reading saunders comprehensive 4th ed. and a month on practicing and answering q&a from different sources of cd's.. ill let yall know if i pass! it'll prolly take a week or two for me to get the results! i jst wish everyone goodluck!!!
I just took the NCLEX in orlando, FL at 8am. I got 75 questions and it took me about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete (i took a 5 minute break after testing for an hour, which is what Hurst Review recommends!) and WOW!! HOW STRESSFUL!!!! i wore the soundproof headphones but all I heard was my tachycardic heart!! hahaha. Some questions I knew right off the bat but the ones that asked, "who would you go see first" were sooo tricky as I thought they all were acute and life threatening!!! i just went with my nursing instinct and am hoping for the best.... I find out tomorrow a.m. if i passed or failed. wish me luck and good luck to all those who are still waiting!!!
