Published

subscribe to this thread if you are a february '09 test taker. i want to send out support to those of you studying and cannot wait until your test date! especially if you are like me studying daily and working with other new grads whom have already taken his/her exam and passed. :p

how is your studying going? what are you using?

i am following suzanne's plan and have been diligent thus far. :D btw, i work full-time as a new grad and am attending a rn-bsn program. i have no life but it will be worth it to pass the nclex!

I'm curious...how long does it take to process the NCLEX application? If you are February takers, when did you pass the papers? I am preparing my application form and will probably be sending them out before the end of this week.

Good Luck February test takers!! I took the NCLEX Jan. 23rd and I passesd with 75 questions!! I am a Nurse!!!

Congrats!!! What did you study and for how long. I need some guidance.

My school sent in the application paperwork sometime in Nov I think, and after graduation this Jan on the 23 they submitted our transcripts and I got my ATT authorization to test last week on Thurs and I scheduled my test online. I hope this helps

You got it! You're prepared, just take a deep breath and go for it! Best Wishes!

Okay so I just finished my test this morning. I had 75 questions and somehow knew I would be cut off at 75. I felt very defeated. My nursing program used the ATI materials and tests. I got a 97% predicability on my ATI comp exam that I would pass the NCLEX the first time. I really feel or know that I failed. I got out to my car afterwards and just started crying uncontrollably. Maybe I am cutting myself way too short but I just don't think so. I want to know or more importantly need to know that I am not alone in the way I feel. This test had a lot of pharm questions that blew me away. I was like "what is this drug and how am I supposed to pick an answer when I have absolutely no idea?" Really I felt like it was a test for pharmacists. I have been studying hardcore for this test a little over a week and maybe that was my problem. I would put in 3-5 hours a day just doing practice questions. I probably should have spent more time instead of just a little over a week. I haven't used Kaplan but instead have been using my ATI books and this website, which I thought was pretty good: http://198.146.4.5/nclexrn3500/question.do;jsessionid=B4CB1D014104CE217E6A5A6FD4B87082

Anyways good luck to all of you who are studying hard. I don't know anything yet so I am not going to continue to short myself, just know the areas that you are weak in. I had a lot of pharmacology questions as well as prioritization questions like who would the nurse assess first. Also I had a lot of delegation questions. This content doesn't seem like it should be hard but for whatever reason today I was floored. No idea. By the way I didn't have any dosage calc questions and I have been hearing the same from others. I hope this helps. I don't want to scare anyone but if you come out of the test feeling blue just don't give up. I am in the waiting boat and should I find out that I didn't pass I'm not going to give up. Again good luck!!!!

Always remember that this test finds your weaknesses. Just remain confident and I'm sure you've passed. Nobody comes out of the NCLEX feeling like they nailed it. Keep us posted when you get your results.

Thanks! Will do!

OK SO I just took my Nclex PN and I cut off at 85 questions. When I was reading the last Post I thought they were talking about me. I Had A whole bunch of PHARM and Which Pt would you see first and what room would you put a certain pt in. I am so scared I failed!!!! I had no drug calculations either!!!! My first time I cut off at 146 and failed. Now 85!!! What will it be???

to all those still waiting results, TRY to relax!!!! the wait is terrible but trust me, you will find out that you have passed, especially if you think you did bad! haha, that's just our mind playing tricks on us. i had 75 questions and was in and out of there in 1 hr and 15 minutes and it was the toughest thing i have ever done but I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I take it tomorrow at 1pm!

This is a second career for both me and my sweetie of 16 years, he's taking it tommorrow as well. I feel woefully under prepared but I came from a good program and I seem to do the delegation and prioritization questions well enough. Have done all the Kaplan with an average 60% Question trainer #7 with a 62. This being said, I'm not attached to the outcome....if I pass, then I pass, if not I'll take it again in a month. I have a few health issues like I'm in menopause and the hot flashes are terrible. Consequently, I've watched my grades take a tumble and I'm now having a hard time remembering things that I knew cold. The stress of this test is unhelpful. So I'm just trying to relaaaaax and think about Hawaii and cool drinks and sandy beaches.....Think good thoughts for us around 1pm California time. Much thanks!

OK.. Did mine today..I feel spanked. I thought I knew something..I was wrong...WOW! Cut off at 85I think..It went by fast
