February NCLEX takers.....

Published

I'm taking mine February 20th.

How about you?

I know what you mean about traveling. I'm in central NJ and have to drive 2 1/2 hours north into the poconos of PA to take mine b/c nothing was available locally until the week of 2/19 and I was not about to wait that long; especially since I'm scheduled to start my job in VA on 2/11. I can work in VA as a GN, but I'd rather take it and get it over with. At least I'll be a R.N. when I start because WE WILL PASS!!!!

i thought i had a long drive! i will be driving only about a half hour. bur i hate driving. our situations are similar. i was originally scheduled 2/19 but was able to push it up for 2/1. i am supposed to start my RN position on 2/11 also. one more thing, you are totally right WE ARE GOING TO PASS! I cant wait!

Best wishes everyone:cheers:

i hear ya, this will be my second time taking it and there was no way i was going to wait until the 20th that is almost a month away. I feel so much more prepared. My best friend is going to drive out with me the night before since my test is at 8am, it will be nice to have the company. I hope that i will be posting that I passed this time. Good luck to all of you and i am sure we will all pass.

I actually got a hotel room for the day before so I didn't have to drive that morning. I am hoping to get there and RELAX!!! I don't know if I will be successful at that though, LOL. Hubby can't come b/c we have pets that need to be tended to, but I never thought to ask one of my friends. Hmmm, you just gave me a good idea.

Glad I can help, hopefully you can find someone to go with you. We plan to get into NE early evening find the building and then go to dinner and a movie. I am kinda hoping taking it in a different state will be good lol. Good luck to you.

ugh so i ate a nice dinner, took an ambien to get to sleep at 9 to wake up at 5 and get to the testing center.. ate a nice brekkie.. Sat down and took the test. I thought I was kicking butt.. but then I got to 86.. instead of 85.. and my heart sank into my chest. The next few questions were a blur to me and it finally shut off at 110. Im freaking out. I knew most of the material but then it started throwing drug after drug question at me! And i didnt even know what half of them were, on top of asking teaching questions.. I was like this cant be serious, im dreaming. I just did my best to narrow down the answers.

Oh god I hope I didnt fail *has a slight panic attack*

Well, I took mine today. I am still in a bit of a daze. I ended up getting about 210 questions. I was never really one to have test anxiety. But this time was different. I serioulsy felt like I was going to pass out! So going into the test feeling like that was probably not a good thing. I tried to relax, did some deep breaths, etc. By about question 100 I was resigned to the fact that I was going to get all 265 questions, so when it stopped at 210 or somewhere around there I was actually surprised.

Needless to say I have NO IDEA how I did. Most of my friends got 75 ?s and passed so far, so that added to my anxiety level I am sure. Honestly I am 50/50 about it as far as pass - fail goes. Of course if I fail, I will be the first and only person from my class so far to fail as far as I know. YAY for me the big loser!

Anyway, I guess I will have to wait and see. Luckily it is a weekend and I will have plenty to do to occupy my time. Crossing my fingers that the results are posted by Sunday.

Well I took mine today too, took me about an hour and 1/2 to do 75 questions. Honestly, the first 14 questions were not so good because I had a bladder problem (sorry if thats TMI, but you know, its hard to think when you have to use the restroom). So, even though I felt stupid, I raised my hand 20 minutes into it to take a break, cleared my head a bit and went back in there to do my best.

I got a lot of SATA, pharm and teaching (well, it was like pharm teaching, lol). But I also got a fair amount of priority questions and only 2 drug calc, which I'm sure I got both of those right. Anyway, I walked out of there wishing they had given me more questions to prove myself, but I'm thinking I couldn't have done so bad that they would want to fail me at 75.

I'm wishing us all a good weekend and speedy results!! :barf01: *I didn't puke, but kinda felt like I should have, lol*

I'm taking my test tomorrow, bright and early at 8 am. I'm starting to get a little nervous because I'm still not getting as high as I would have liked on the practice questions I'm doing (60-70%) but it's too late to do anything about it now! My fingers are crossed!!

OK, I passed! I can't believe that I still passed with 210 questions. I just proves that it doesnt matter how many ?s you get. I am an RN! YAY!!

Hello everyone I take my exam on 2/8 which is a friday. Do they issue the results online on a Sunday? I'm taking the exam in NY. Congrats to all those who passed.
