Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL
I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm considering getting my CNA and trying to find work in healthcare to get my foot in the door.
I am so nervous about the whole process, nervous about whether I should try to work and go to school, and especially nervous if this is something I can handle. I am afraid of all the responsibility.
Anyone else planning for next Summer? What is your process looking like, what are your thoughts/feelings?
I took the NAT about three months before the application was due. I had heard from many people that the books you can get to study with didn't help much. You can take it twice and they take the highest scores from each test to calculate your final score. My advice is to take the NAT without worrying about it, then see what sections you need to improve upon, study those sections, and when you retake the test focus on those. Also, there is no point deduction for wrong answers so guess-guess-guess! Especially in the reading comprehension and vocabulary sections. A lot of people don't even finish those. If you see that you are running out of time, answer SOMETHING. I scored a 120 on the NAT my first time taking it, but this is what I've heard from many people! Good luck.
Im currently studying for the NAT and hoping to take it when school starts back, just need to call and see when the test dates are. I think the person who posted before me is right. Maybe I should just do a quick review and just take it without stressing about it. I could always see what my worst sections are, then study them I got a study book and it just confuses me. What exactly is covered in the academic aptitude part? what about natural sciences? I just want to know what I need to look over before the test

I heard that males get an advantage, but I thought it was a joke.
