FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

Published

Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL

I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm considering getting my CNA and trying to find work in healthcare to get my foot in the door.

I am so nervous about the whole process, nervous about whether I should try to work and go to school, and especially nervous if this is something I can handle. I am afraid of all the responsibility.

Anyone else planning for next Summer? What is your process looking like, what are your thoughts/feelings?

What if i got an email but not a letter? Should I expect or do you think there could be a mistake. I've already left a message accepting my spot and told my family so I really hope not. If they messed up my points and calculated that I had more than I actually have could they really not let me in the program after they already sent me the email? Or do you think they would make an exception because it was their mistake? I'm worried now.

I doubt they made a mistake and if they did, i doubt they'd catch it. It is probably correct since there seemed to be fewer applicants this time around. Your points are right in line with last semester's cut off so here's hoping it is correct. Congrats!

Thanks FutureRNmom. Thats encouraging.

hi and congrats to my daytime classmates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

who is daytime with me!?!?!?!? :D

I got an email today, but I just checked the mail and no letter. So hopefully there was no mix up and I will get something in the mail tomorrow.

I didn't get mail either, maybe tomorrow, but it will come. It is identical to what you received today, but the letter has your name on it.

Some people are passed on due to their address, and not their points. I know people who lived on county lines and did not get in.

As long as you got an email you are fine! It does take about 7 days for titers but as long as you have something from the doctor stating that you have had them drawn you are fine....

I applied with 201.73 for days. This was my second attempt. Im still a bit shaken by the whole thing.

I also got the email and no letter today, I HOPE its not a mix up since I already made my Dr. Appointment today.

I just received my acceptance email. I got in with 193.84!! I'm still shaking! So didn't expect this!!

Really?? I have 194 points so there may still be hope???? My last name starts with a V so my entire family has their fingers crossed!!!!!!

Congrats to those that have their letters/emails in hand!

I got an email, nothing in the mail!!!
