Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL
I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm considering getting my CNA and trying to find work in healthcare to get my foot in the door.
I am so nervous about the whole process, nervous about whether I should try to work and go to school, and especially nervous if this is something I can handle. I am afraid of all the responsibility.
Anyone else planning for next Summer? What is your process looking like, what are your thoughts/feelings?
Jen,
That is odd but what does your last name start with? I hope they calculated your points correctly because I have heard of people not getting in due to them not calculating points correctly. Next Semester I'm going to attach my own calculation of my points so if they make a mistake they will notice there is a discrepency. I mean you just never know.... So far I havent read about anyone that got in with lesser points than me so I'm assuming my 191.60 did not make the cut. Good Luck!

It starts with a P so maybe there is hope. I had kind of resigned myself into thinking I wouldn't get in until Fall due to the fewer seats but when I saw AMD posted the 193.84 I got really excited...
Is there anything you can do to increase your points still? Retake the NAT or take another humanities... or if you took stat take algebra, etc. I was planning on taking World Religion this summer online to get another 3 points since I got a B in Philosophy. So we'll see what I end up doing based on this week.
FYI if you do not have any insurance go to the Northside Medical Clinic (where we get drug tested at) they do all of things required for the program... Another thing they do not send out emails and letter by ABC order they do it and rounds.... if you didn't hear anything this week then you will hear something after the people who accepted/declined their seats on Monday! I am so happy for you guys!!
What if i got an email but not a letter? Should I expect or do you think there could be a mistake. I've already left a message accepting my spot and told my family so I really hope not. If they messed up my points and calculated that I had more than I actually have could they really not let me in the program after they already sent me the email? Or do you think they would make an exception because it was their mistake? I'm worried now.
Jen,
I'm currently taking a different humanities now which will bump me up by 6 points since I made a C in that class in the early 90's. Also I am retaking the NAT in the 1st week of May. Retaking Humanites alone will bring me to 197.60 without taking the NAT. So I'm hopeful that next Semester perhaps I will get in...
ADM88, no there is no mistake! You're in, I can't conceive that they made a mistake and emailed the wrong person. You're in, You're in, You're In!!
