FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

I got a call from Crystal Porter this afternoon about the physical and ppd. She said that Dr. Henning said that as long as the physical and ppd are dated AFTER THE PACKETS WENT OUT at the end of March, you're good to go. I got mine done on April 2nd and she said that was fine. I guess they're being easy on us since they set the original deadline as April 14th. She also mentioned the deadline to get the physical and ppd in was at orientation. Everything else is due on April 14.
I have a question. Where did you get your picture taken that we have to turn in? I think that's the last thing I need to do. Oh, and the ppd. LOL. I didn't get that done yet.

UPS was out of film when I went so I had mine done at Walgreens $8.55; just another option

I think we'll find out about our schedules at orientation when we pick sections.

You can actually go up when you turn in your paperwork and look at the current 1st termers schedules on the bulletin board and get an idea of what you are gonna have to do. I know I went (days) every Monday for tests (3:00-4:00), Tuesdays (9-12, 1-4), Wednesdays *about every other Wednesday* (9-12), Thursday (7-2 or 3 and that is also the day I had clinicals) but they have changed things around since I was in first term. Pharm is hybrid now and so is concepts. Soo your best bet is to just look at the current one up.

I know someone asked me about this and I don't think I got back to them, so I am sorry!

You get to look at the schedules and pick out the one you want at orientation. They do it by a lotto system.

I am kinda mad because we don't even have any idea what our schedules are gonna look like but they have been done now for 3 weeks.

Just wanted to let everyone know I picked up an all white pair of K-Swiss tennies for $45 at Famous Footwear. They're really comfortable. Oh, and they're having a buy one, get one half off special. So I picked up a pair of really nice sandals for my "fun time" LOL.

Did anyone else get an email from Tarolyn Lee about submitting a dispostion for a positive background check? My background check came back as negative, but I got an e-mail, so I was just making sure that everyone got it.

I'm sure she sent it to everyone. It says to ignore the email unless your background check is positive.

I got that email also. I went into the website for the background checks and viewed mine and everything came out perfect. Nothing bad on me! I dropped by Florida Specialty and picked up my polo shirts. Their sizes must run small because I ended up getting a bigger size. When I got home, I ordered my uniforms and nametags.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to get some khaki pants? I really hate to order them online if I can go somewhere and try them on first.

Same here Summerhopeful (gotta change that name now =) ) - I'm purchasing my on my own khakis. There aren't any restrictions on them as far as I can see so I imagine I'll just head to gap or something in the TC.

I was actually really impressed with the quality of the shirts at Florida Specialty. I have to give them credit for picking cute shirts & they are soft material- KUDOS!

The white uniforms on the other hand... I am NOT looking forward to wearing them at all--- tooooo much white!! Those suckers are going to get dirty soo easily!

I'm so excited to meet you all at orientation! What about my idea for meeting up before hand? Still think it is still possible to put something together- pick a day and whoever is available can come out? With all the confusion of getting our paperwork together I totally forgot to follow up with that. Never too late though =) Anybody interested?
