Well I'm glad you made it out ok! As far as the get together, I would really love to plan it for tomorrow evening if nobody has any other suggestions! Too late of notice or does this sound feasible?

Well I am definatley out for tomorrow, anyone else who cant make tomorrow and even those who can if you want to try again I am still game.....or maybe we can all grab an appetizer or something after orientation also to go over everything and even invite those who are not part of this blog that we meet there so every one can get to know each other a little.

Yeah Wilkes! I like that idea too- I'm up for that after orientation!! Shoot~ I forgot you said you couldn't make it tomorrow. Well, does this weekend work better for you?

Whatever concensous is- I don't care either way. I'm just excited to finally get started after all this waiting!

I'm heading over to school today to drop off all my paperwork and to get a photo id made. Has anyone else turned in all their stuff yet?

I wonder what happened to that email from Dr. Henning that we were supposed to receive like last week???...

Hey Jacks2009....no biggie, but if yall change to Saturday I am still game, otherwise lets defiantely plan something for after the orientation.

Turned in all my stuff this morning...except the physical form have to go get the TB test reading done 1st..No email received here either but verifieid this morning we have until the orientation to get inthe physical forms in.

I cant wait to meet everyone.

Then Saturday works for me. If that works for everyone and there are no objections- then lets make that our day to meet up. I have a feeling the group will be small to begin with since there doesn't seem to be many of us on this site. So location? - still good for the Panera's at the Town Center - if not then where... if so, then what time?

Aww Thanks for inviting me! I would loooove to come. I am doing the Earth Day event at the Landing (which is free BTW so you should come and bring your kids if you want!) and I have to be there til about one, so just keep me updated on a time. =)

Also, If I have all of the immunizations done, and have record of them, do I still need to have the titers done? I may have misread the sheet, but I thought your options were to have the immunizations or to have positve titers?

Also are we meeting tonight?

The immunization question is better asked of the Nursing office.

We are currently planning on Saturday from what I can tell. Also, some folks are thinking right after orientation....

Shswimchik- can you meet on saturday instead of tonight? Wilkes 09 can't make it tonight and we want to try to include everyone who has been apart of this forum! We still need to decide on a time- I originally suggested around 2pm- does that work for everyone? Earlier... later...?

Yes! I have proof of all mine to but it still has to be done! The paperwork (page 2 of the packet) states that you have to give them a copy of the actual lab report of a positive titer for Varicella, MMR & Hep B (or you can sign the declination form for this one if you wish- my doc says that for healthcare workers it is really important to make sure you get this because of the nature of our career)

For tetorifice you have to have had it within the last 10 years as well as proof of the pertussis vaccine. If you haven't had pertussis then it comes in a vaccine combined with a tetorifice called Tdap.

Really carefully read over the information from the packet for this so that you don't have to get poked more than necessary.

& I reread that part of our packet, and you do have to have both... don't know where I got that it was one or the other...
