Yes, I know you too! Did you ever get a successful bp reading today? I feel like an idiot that I can't even find the brachial artery. I have tried it on three people already today and I just don't get it.

Sorry I didn't meet anyone at orientation. I sat with the 5 people from my Micro class that got in. Anyway...I picked #68 in the lottery which sucked, but I managed to get a decent schedule and clinicals at Baptist. I'm in section 6. Anyone else? Lynn

NJFek, thanks for the advice and encouragement! I am so excited to be going to orientation on Thurs. In fact, I'm just so darn excited to be in the program, PERIOD! My life long dream is finally becoming a reality. Wish my mom was still around to see me now...she would be so proud. Lynn

My stethoscope isn't engraved either. I wouldn't mind getting my name engraved on it. Makes it less desirable to "walk away", if you know what I mean. My uniforms are due to arrive today. Still need to buy some khaki pants. I don't know about everyone else...but I AM SO EXCITED! Can't wait to go to orientation. doin' the happy dance! Lynn

Got all my paperwork turned in this morning except for the ppd results. I'll be going back on Thursday to get that read. It felt good to have the paperwork turned in. Can't wait to meet everyone at orientation. Lynn

I got that email also. I went into the website for the background checks and viewed mine and everything came out perfect. Nothing bad on me! I dropped by Florida Specialty and picked up my polo shirts. Their sizes must run small because I ended up getting a bigger size. When I got home, I ordered my uniforms and nametags. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to get some khaki pants? I really hate to order them online if I can go somewhere and try them on first. Lynn

Just wanted to let everyone know I picked up an all white pair of K-Swiss tennies for $45 at Famous Footwear. They're really comfortable. Oh, and they're having a buy one, get one half off special. So I picked up a pair of really nice sandals for my "fun time" LOL. Lynn

Wish I had though of that while I was getting my fingerprints done. I don't know what I was thinking, but I selected the downtown UPS store and let me tell you, it was a nightmare trying to find parking. They have three spots in front of the store but if you don't get there right as someone is pulling out, you will circle the block a million times. I ended up parking at a meter and walking over. Then the guy couldn't get the machine to work. It took him 1 1/2 hours to finally get me printed and sent off. I figured I had spent so much time trying to find parking that I may as well wait. LOL. Anyway, it's done. What kind of progress is everyone else making? :)

I got a call from Crystal Porter this afternoon about the physical and ppd. She said that Dr. Henning said that as long as the physical and ppd are dated AFTER THE PACKETS WENT OUT at the end of March, you're good to go. I got mine done on April 2nd and she said that was fine. I guess they're being easy on us since they set the original deadline as April 14th. She also mentioned the deadline to get the physical and ppd in was at orientation. Everything else is due on April 14. I have a question. Where did you get your picture taken that we have to turn in? I think that's the last thing I need to do. Oh, and the ppd. LOL. I didn't get that done yet. Lynn

Ughh...this sucks. I really don't want to pay for another physical. But if I have to, I have to. Does that include the titers too? I'd really hate to have to do that again. I can't afford to pay for everything again.

Ughh...okay, so I went to the Northside Medical Clinic today for my drug test and decided to just go ahead and have my physical done while I was there. Then I come home and read the posts and now I'm thinking I just messed up and will have to have the physical done all over because it has to be dated after the 11th?? Geez. I hope they will take this one because I can't afford to have another one done. Oh, and I picked up my skills kit on the way home. Lynn

Anyone know of a place I can get a physical done that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg? Thanks.
