Hey all!
I was just trying to get in touch with anyone hoping to start the RN program at FCCJ in the Spring 2009 semester. Hopefully we can see what the points seem to be at or where they were for the Fall 2008 semester.
Look forward to talking!:nuke:
i did that, then the pop up doesn't say "standard cbg release". it says name: 900810273195200.
this is the link i got in my e-mail from them if i needed to go back and print a release form: [color=#003399]https://www.certifiedbackground.com/viewnow.php
when i click on this link, it asks for my password & the last four digits of my social. then i click on submit & it takes me to the page with the pdf file for the release form. hopefully this works.

Hey I am a term one right now. Your lab coat should be fine as a med, their sizing is retarded. You do not need any of your Meridy stuff until week 8 so you have time to return but they take FOREVER to get it to you and if you have to return expect another month long wait. You can go and see if their are any used uniforms. I cannot remember who is in charge of that but they do have gently used uniforms that previous students 'donate'. If nothing else you can try on the uniforms to make sure you ordered the right size. I am sure the nursing office will know who to refer you to.The lottery thing is done at the second orientation and literally they have you line up and as you walk thru the door you pick a number out of a bowl and that is how you get to pick your schedule. Everyone who had high numbers ended up at Baptist Nassau for clinicals.
Congrats and enjoy some free time before the stress of it all comes in January!
Navywifeim and TMA35...
Thanks, Navywife (I'm one of those too LOL)... I actually wouldn't mind being at Baptist Nassau either, I'm in Kingsland, GA, so that would work out great for me... or even Wolfson's/Baptist (I THINK those two are together, anyway), near Nemour's... that's just a straight shot for me... So, once you are assigned a hospital, is that the only one you do your clinicals at? Or do you rotate throughout the hospitals? Can you give me an example of your schedule in terms of clinicals? Do any of you know if Southeast Georgia Health System is in the "pool" of hospitals? I'm sure that would be too much to hope for :0)

Wolfson/Baptist are conjoined but they are technically two separate hospitals. You get to pick the hospitals based on the schedules presented. Like for my first term I went to Baptist on Thursdays for the last eight weeks of the semester. And 2nd term I went to Orange park every Tuesday and Wednesday for eight weeks (and you have to go the day before to pick up information about your patient). I am at Baptist again for psych but you only go three times for that. There are no hospitals that we go to in GA, simply because it is a Jacksonville based program, they try to stick it close to home. anyways...lol anymore questions?
hello everyone... i will be joining all of you in the spring -- yay! i received my acceptance letter on friday. congratulations
to everyone who made it in... and to the ones who didn't make the cut-off, keep reaching for the stars... don't let anyone stand in your way. keep applying! chase your dreams... they will become reality.
i was wondering if anyone completed their drug screening? if so, what time did you go and was the place packed?
I did mine Monday. You have to pick up the form on the first floor (the packet tells what room), then take Dunn all the way past I-95, the clinic is between Hardees and Wachovia on the right hand side. There were maybe three people there when I went, and including waiting time, I think the whole thing took 20 or 30 minutes, and it was lunch time. It really is very simple. Take a credit card with you, or a check card... if I remember right, that's the place that does not take cash or checks...
I am chock full of questions :0) LOL So, do you we decide all of our hospitals for the entire program during orientation, or do we decide each term?
You decide each term. And after the first term you no longer have a lottery, so it is whoever signs up for the class first within the time frame they give you to sign up.
Okay...
First term...Clinical goes along with Techniques. They divide you all into sections. You decide what section you want (which includes all of your classes). Each section on the paper has next to it what hospital you will go to. You choose what section you want and everyone in that section goes to hospital that goes along with that section.
For example: Section 6
Techniques Thur 7-3 Professor: McCullough Baptist
