FCCJ Spring 2009

Published

Hey all!

I was just trying to get in touch with anyone hoping to start the RN program at FCCJ in the Spring 2009 semester. Hopefully we can see what the points seem to be at or where they were for the Fall 2008 semester.

Look forward to talking!:nuke:

hey guys... i was wondering if anyone that has been accepted could pass along the number that you need to call to accept your position. i'm pretty sure that i'm in w/ over 200 points but i still haven't received my acceptance packet yet (even though it has to go to indiana). i just want to call and make sure that they sent the package to my mom's place and not to my addy in florida... i'm getting kinda nervous w/ not too much time left before the 31st. thanks for the help!

Hot Chocolate,

The number to call to accept the position is 766-6584. I hope your packet catches up with you soon. :)

thanks for the #, i'm going to call tomorrow and (hopefully) find out what's going on and get the ball rolling with everything.

hi everyone! I was doing Part B with the background check and I can't find the "certified background release form" when I got to the confirmation page. Am I missing something here?????

Hi! On the order confirmation page, you should see a pdf file called "Standard CBG Release". It is right above the ordered items section.

hey all... called the nursing dept. this morning wondering where my packet is and they said that there is still a set of mail going out today... wierd, but hopefully good news will follow this week.

Hopefully you'll get the good news! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. :wshgrt:

Reply to BoRNtobe...

From what I understand, we will do that at one of the orientation sessions on Dec. 3 or Jan. 5. I'm not clear on the whole lottery thing... does everyone just draw a number or does it go by score??? I've heard both... the score thing doesn't sound right to me, but I just wanted to make sure...

Also, has anyone else ordered their uniforms yet? I placed my order yesterday, but when I typed my measurements in the calculator on the website (for sizes), it came back with a Med top, Med pants (both of which are correct) and a 2XL LAB COAT!!! That is NOT correct... I have no idea how lab coats fit, so I just went ahead and ordered a Med... I'm hoping it fits, otherwise I'll have to order a new one and return the old one... pain! :(

Hey I am a term one right now. Your lab coat should be fine as a med, their sizing is retarded. You do not need any of your Meridy stuff until week 8 so you have time to return but they take FOREVER to get it to you and if you have to return expect another month long wait. You can go and see if their are any used uniforms. I cannot remember who is in charge of that but they do have gently used uniforms that previous students 'donate'. If nothing else you can try on the uniforms to make sure you ordered the right size. I am sure the nursing office will know who to refer you to.

The lottery thing is done at the second orientation and literally they have you line up and as you walk thru the door you pick a number out of a bowl and that is how you get to pick your schedule. Everyone who had high numbers ended up at Baptist Nassau for clinicals.

Congrats and enjoy some free time before the stress of it all comes in January!

That's funny that no one wants Baptist Nassau Navywifeim. I live in Yulee and want my clinicals to be at Baptist Nassau. It's just a 15 minute drive for me. :)

i'm pretty sure that i already know the anwser to this... but i was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat as me... no acceptance or rejection letter, presumably enough points to get in...or just out of the direct jacksonville area and waiting for snail mail...

this sux and the nursing dept. won't tell me anything until friday. i feel like i"m really starting to get behind in everything that needs to get done in the packet. :o

Thanks but I already am away from that confimation page. Do I go back onto the website, enter my password, then fax that pdf file which is my results summary to the number listing in the nursing packet?? sorry!!

If you go back on the website & enter your password, you should see that pdf file called "Standard CBG Release". Print that out and fax it to the number listed in the nursing packet. You shouldn't have to go to the confirmation page again. Please let me know if this works.
