FCCJ Spring 2009

Published

Hey all!

I was just trying to get in touch with anyone hoping to start the RN program at FCCJ in the Spring 2009 semester. Hopefully we can see what the points seem to be at or where they were for the Fall 2008 semester.

Look forward to talking!:nuke:

so... i finally got the call from my mom letting me know that my acceptance letter came in the mail today. i'm so happy and feel like such a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders! i'm in nights and weekends and can't wait to see everyone at orientation! :yeah:

Congratulations! The waiting is horrible! I'm very happy for you. :0)

Okay...

First term...Clinical goes along with Techniques. They divide you all into sections. You decide what section you want (which includes all of your classes). Each section on the paper has next to it what hospital you will go to. You choose what section you want and everyone in that section goes to hospital that goes along with that section.

For example: Section 6

Techniques Thur 7-3 Professor: McCullough Baptist

I think it is starting to make sense. I'm sure it will all come together at orientation. Thanks :0)

Just an fyi. The cut off was 183.2 so if you're above that you're in!!! Congrats to all that got in this semester :yeah:

Which hospitals are the clinicals held at?

oh its sooo funny to go back and read you allso excited and to remember being there.....enjoy the excitement , soon you wont have time to think!!

Has anyone done their medical exams/ drug screening yet. Do you know how long it takes? Thanks.

The drug screening took about 10-15 minutes including the time in the waiting room. I did the medical exam today and it took about 50 minutes including the time in the waiting room, but they were quite busy. I believe a lot of people have gotten in & out much quicker. In my opinion, the wait time still wasn't bad.

i did my drug screening and the shots and physical today and it took about thirty minutes for everything. i went around 1 and they were pretty slow

Where are you guys doing the physical at? Is it the same place as the drug screen?

I think everyone is going to the Northside Medical Clinic. They do the drug screen & the physical/vaccinations. They have discount pricing for FCCJ students.

Hello once again, everyone! I have yet to do my drug screening. I'm waiting to turn in all of my information before I do that since I live in Arlington.

I got my uniforms yesterday.... Does everyones name tag read their full first name and Last initial?? My friend that is in the LPN prog at FCCJ said theirs is reverse of that. I'm just curious.
