I know it is kind of early to start this thread but I thought maybe there were some others out there who are planning on applying for fccj/fscj fall 2010 RN program. Hope you will post on this thread!
i was unexpectedly deployed and won't return home until june or july.
240.3 is awesome! do you have work experience? hopefully i will see you in the fall. i know i will be checking this board the closer we get to the time we should be receiving our letters to see who got in. there is another person on here that will hopefully be in nights and weekends with us. she applied with 210, i think.

so does anyone know the specific hours the Fall program runs? I got that it's not everyday but is it full 8-4 hours? Can someone list them if they know or have heard of the hours for each day? Thanks!
This is what someone else posted on another thread........
For term 1 for me my schedule is:
Monday 3-5pm test day
Tuesday 9-12pm health assessment
Wednesday 9-12 concepts
Thursday 8-1:30 techniques first 8 weeks second 8 weeks 7-1:30 clinicals
friday 9-12 pharm
there were a lot of sections who only goto the actual class 3 days so one of the days they go 9-12 for one class then 1-4 to other. I personally thought I would burnt out doing that and I love going to one class everday! BTW for every semester testing is on Mondays! :)

THANKS SO MUCH!! I was really worried the program was all day, every day. A schedule like this is doable. So since there are sections, do we get to pick our own schedule?? I'm trying to figure out the working vs. full time school thing if I get accepted.
Its a lottery system. At orientation, you draw a number and that determines who chooses first for what section they want. There are different sections containing different schedules, instructors and clinical locations. If you're in nights, there is no schedule choice, the entire group of 24 is in the same lecture classes and then there are two clinical choices. Its also a lottery, so for this term's nights program the choices were Baptist downtown or Baptist Nassau. I've heard the rest of the semesters its just a free for all registering yourself online at a specific time they open up registration. But the schedule posted above is pretty much exactly the schedule for term 1. It doesn't vary too much from that as far as I know. Flexibility may as well be thrown out the window, because you are the one that has to be flexible- the program is not! :)
i feel a 198 is a pretty secure score to get in with since the cutoff for summer was 196 at only 68 people.
96 people got accepted out of around 380(?). i was ranked around 123 (i don't have my letter in front of me) so 27 people would have had to decline their seats for me to get in. yeahh, i never really thought a third of the people would have dropped. out of those 96, six people declined the seat they were offered, so the next six people got in for the summer. so for the 96 seats, people who were ranked as high as 102 got in. the original cut-off was 197.?? and the lowest score wound up being 195.?? i think. all i know for sure was that i had a 191.64 and that was not enough.
i am feeling confident with this term, though, because i wound up with an "a" in microbiology and that is 16 points added to my point total.

is it just me, or does everything at FSCJ take forever to get done?!
i sent my transcripts from UNF 2 weeks ago. i kept checking every day to see if they had posted the evaluation on my connections account. nothing. so i went to see an adviser at north campus and she said it was a good thing i came to see her, or else they wouldn't have even looked at my transcript!! she had to call the records people and tell them "i wanted my transcript evaluated" hmm... no i just wanted to spend 10 bucks to mail you them for nothing! :rolleyes:i'm so glad i went to see her.
well now they've had my transcripts for a week and i am anxiously awaiting for them to evaluate them so i can turn in my application!
i hope we all get in. it sounds like a great program hopefully to be filled with a lot of great people!
