FCCJ/FSCJ Fall 2010 Hopefuls

Published

I know it is kind of early to start this thread but I thought maybe there were some others out there who are planning on applying for fccj/fscj fall 2010 RN program. Hope you will post on this thread!

I am so anxious, and the application deadline hasn't even passed yet! I'm going to pull my hair out over the next 8 weeks.

I found out yesterday that I didn't get accepted into UNF's program, so now I'm even more on the edge of my seat waiting for FSCJ.

good luck everyone, let's hope these weeks go by fast!

You know, today's the deadline, but thinking about it, Saturday kinda was. No mail on Sunday or Memorial day, and I think the college is closed those days too.

the packet said it can be postmarked on/by june 1st. i couldn't mail mine, i was too nervous it was going to get lost lol

Ah. I was thinking May 31st because I remember telling myself, "Okay, it's got to be in by the end of May." :)

And I definatly shared your fear of the application being lost in the mail. After I took the NAT, I walked mine over.

Does anyone know the NW point cutoff for any of the last semesters, or have some examples of points that got in?

I applied with 206, but I don't know if that's good enough for the night schedule.. :(

It doesn't really matter *too much* to me which I get, as long as I get a seat somewhere! Are you still offered a day seat if your "first preference" was NW?

I think last fall the cutoff was around 190, so 206 should be fine. For nights and wkds though, I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure that since they ask you 1st and 2nd choice then you'd be offered a day seat if not accepted to nights/wkds.

there was a person another thread that said they where accepted to nights/weekends with 217, but that's really the only one i've seen. i know i am trying for nights/weekends with 222.44. i think there are 2 other people on this thread that have applied for the nights/weekends, one with 240 and the other with 210. as long as you put days down as your second choice they will default you to that program. if you only put nights/weekends then they will not offer you a day seat. good luck! hope to see you in the fall.

that was me. i had 217, however, folks did get accepted with less than 200 pts. i don't know exactly what their points were at this point in ns. it is tougher to get into n/w because there are only 24 slots - 2 start terms per year. those of us who work ft day jobs can only take n/w and most of us are older and already possess bach degrees in other fields.

Does anybody know how many seats there are in the day program?

Yep, sounds like me! I have my BA in Management from UNF and am a career changer. With kids, a husband and a house n/wk are really my only option. Hopefully my 222.44 will get me in!

I believe it is 144 for the Fall term. (168 total - 24 for N/W)

Am I correct in thinking that those of us who start this fall will finish in Dec. of next year?

Yes. It is 4 back-to-back terms. Those of us that started Summer 09 will finish this Aug. :D
